I use these exclusively they are simple to install or remove. Great for installation of light fixtures where you are connecting the stranded wire on light fixtures to Romeo. No guess work which is common with wire nuts. Solid connection the first time. I strongly recommend. They cost a little more but for the average homeowners I believe these are safer to use.

Wire nuts are a well established method for splicing wires. When they go bad it’s almost always due to being poorly installed. Lever connectors are easier to install (and remove) so the chance of a poor connection is reduced. In forty years I’ve had little trouble with traditional wire nuts, and yet I doubt I’ll ever use another one.

These seem to work just fine with solid or stranded wire. For my projects, these have proven FAR superior to wire nuts and at a fraction of the price of the similar Wago branded connectors.These are not UL listed, so bear that in mind. Though I doubt many of us home-gamers check if their wire nuts are UL listed either.

I no longer have to search the bins for the proper size wire nut, because these lever nut connectors fit multiple wire gauges. I've used them outdoor without any problems or failures. Very good technology.

An electrician that I hired to do some work on a rental property I have showed me these connectors. I was always used to the type that you have to twist the wires onto or the type that you push in to connect the wires. These are so much better and easier to use. With the twist type, you have to twist the wires together and then twist the cap on to the wires and then put electrical tape around it. I often found that some of the wires wouldn't catch and I would have to take it apart and do it over.The push in type are great unless you need to remove the wire for some reason and then its either a pain or you end up having to cut the wire and throw away the connector. These Lever-Nuts are not only reusable, but also allow you to connect standard wire and stranded wire together. Add to the fact that all you have to do is insert the wires and push the clip down and you are all set. You don't even need to use electrical tape, although old habits wont allow me not to use tape. In my opinion, there are no better electrical connectors on the market to use. I only wish they sold them locally, but since I can get them pretty quickly through Amazon, I really have no major complaints. The only issue I had is the box they came in was broken and a clip was missing to close it. Not really a big deal overall though. I highly recommend these for Pros and DIYers alike.

While a bit pricey, these connectors are very useful and easy to use in situations where you need to disconnect and reconnect wiring easily, or where joining wires in a tight space. Would buy again.

I bought this product because I needed to be able to join stranded wires which were different gauges. While wire nuts can do the job, I usually find them to be somewhat unreliable.These, you just open the lever, insert the wire, and close the lever. Super simple, the connection seems solid, and there's even pressure on all of the conductors. I tried to find a current rating on these and the only thing I could find was 32A 250V/4KV molded into the side. I then took one apart to see how the wire is clamped. It would be hard to describe the mechanism here, but the lever pushes down on a spring loaded gate which creates an opening for the wire. When the lever is closed, the gate is released and the pressure of the gate against the wire is what holds things in place. The connection mechanism is fairly stiff and the gate bites into the copper. I don't think it would be easy to pull a wire out once it's secured.
