The Lewmar Galvanised Delta Anchor is the trusty sidekick every boat needs—strong, reliable, and not afraid to get its hands dirty. I used to struggle with anchors that would barely hold my boat in place. Enter the Delta: it digs in faster than a dog at a bone convention. No more worrying about drifting away mid-cocktail hour or in the middle of a fishing trip. This anchor has made me feel like I’ve got my boat on lock, no matter the conditions. It’s solid, durable, and the galvanised steel means no rusting—so you won’t have to play the “is it rusty or just old?” game. Bonus points for being sleek enough to make my boat look like it came straight out of a nautical magazine. If you want an anchor that works as hard as you do, this one’s a no-brainer. 10/10 would trust it to hold my boat (and my margarita).

I got a chance to use this anchor this past week while visiting the Gulf. Replaced an old Danforth. Once deployed on the sandy bottom, it held my 21’ boat easily in 10-15 knot breezes using a 6:1 scope. It easily released when time to leave. Looks and works great. Would purchase again.

31ft sailboat, 7500lbs - the 22lbs anchor is "well" dimensioned for this load. Together with 50ft of chain I had perfect hold in strong tidal currents (fire island inlet), waves and winds. With my setup, the anchor rope itself becomes hte weak lin (chafe ect) - this anchor is trustworthy

Beefy, tough anchor. Great for Long Island sound and sandbar use. I got the 14lb for 2014 220 outrage and it holds great. I use 15ft of chain to ensure the right angle of pull and protection when anchoring in the reefs.

I’m pleased with this anchor so far. It replaced a homemade, lead anchor that came with my boat that I didn’t trust. I’m using it to hold a 18ft North River welded aluminum boat that weighs around 2000lbs unloaded. I upsized one size because I’d rather be safe than sorry. So far it’s only been used on one camping trip in Priest Lake, ID. It performed great and didn’t budge on some choppy afternoons. It set and retrieved without issue. I was disappointed that the sticker was black, not blue as shown in photos, but that’s pretty trivial. I’ll try to update once I use it in the salt with current and tidal shifts.

Updated 8/1/2020: Now that I’ve had a good year of using this anchor on my Scout Abaco 242 Walkaround (24.5 FT) with a Lewmar windlass, I have to say this is one great anchor. I’ve used this to secure my boat in several different environments - Sandbars & Beaches, Reefs from 20ft of water to 65Ft of water in various conditions, and many other depths and bottom types. This anchor is such an upgrade to my original danforth that came with the boat. Plus, after a year of moderate to heavy use, it still looks virtually brand new. Only sign of wear is the sticker on one side of the anchor faded and peeled off, but that’s pretty much to be expected. Overall I’d highly recommend this anchor to anyone in the market with a similar sized boat.Original Review 2019: Arrived quickly. The color did not exactly match to picture though. My 14lbs Delta arrived with black instead of blue color print on the shaft. Still looks awesome on my boat... fits perfectly with my windlass.

It is a great anchor, just not as shiny as you’d expect for a finished product.

We have a 2006 Maxum 3300 (LOA 35 feet, 11,500 pounds/dry). I don’t know if it was the previous anchor or me but the 14 pound original equipment anchor the 22 lb Lewmar replaced was always hit or miss (which proved to be very unsettling). The Lewmar Galvanised Delta 10 kg/22 lb worked the first time, held tight, and came right up when we were ready to leave. And it looks great on the boat. (Glad I didn’t spring for the extra money for a stainless steel anchor).
