Feels like cheap plastic. Smells like burning plastic when turned on, which may just be the heating element. But the base gets warm, and barely pushes any hot air into the arms where you put your shoes. The cord is pretty short. About 1 meter. So not long enough if you have an outlet higher up or out of the way, and you want to place this on the floor. The instructions say not to use this in a bathroom, or on vinyl floors. Probably because the base gets hot, and water could make this a hazard. But it doesn't produce enough heat or air flow inside the shoes to do much. The arms feel like they could break easily, and may not stay extended. Also, the instructions specifically note "do not stand on your head", so that's important. Disappointed in this product.
