So we bought these mirrors because they are mostly made from metal. We are working on a 2018 Polaris Ranger 900xp. These are to replace all the plastic ones that continually break off at the bases. We knew we would have to modify these to fit and work. We were very surprised how easy it was to modify them. We cut the metal tubed arms with a tubing cutter at my desired length and re-drilled the base joint holes where I wanted them. All together it took us about 45 minutes to complete. As of now I am very happy. Also these are DOT glass mirrors. The view is clearer than the plastic mirrors. We will be using our Ranger a lot on the farm soon so we will know more about them soon.

I mounted them. We tightened them up and they keep sliding in with the wind. Theres no way of making them tighter….

These mirrors are fantastic! They provide a clear and wide view of the road behind me, when my Jeep doors are off. They’re also very easy to install and adjust, which is a major plus. I feel safe and confident cruising around with these mirrors on.I highly recommend them to any Jeep owner who loves to take off their Jeep doors.

Needed mirrors for when my door come off. I didn't like the mirrors that slid into the door hinge with the long mounting bracket... to susceptible to bouncing and vibration with the long arm bracket. These mount directly to the existing holes behind the door hinge, have shorter arms, for less bounce and appear to be quite tight with no vibration. Perfect fix!

The size of these things are perfect, you can actually free up and view a lot more blindspots over the OEM mirrors. They are very durable and don't flap around or fold at highway speeds. The have a very nice appearance and are a great value for the money.

The mirrors work great with 1 major problem. The hand fastener cannot be tightened enough by hand and the mirrors will fold in above 50km/hr. A simple fix is to head over to your local hardware store and buy yourself some proper bolts that you can tighten with a wrench. Mirrors don't budge. I'd give the product 5 stars if they included these bolts as it"s a known issue, but 3 stars because you have to go out and get them yourself. It's a small issue that causes a major issue and is easily fixed.

These mirrors were purchased for times when I choose to remove the doors from my Jeep Wrangler. They do the job just fine to keep my ride street legal even when the doors are off. They are exactly what I expected at this price point. Not perfect, but get the job done that I need and look fine to boot.Good: They install easily with a couple screws into existing screw holes, so no tinkering or devaluing your vehicle to get them installed. Took me only a few minutes per mirror. They look nice once installed and are functional. The mirrors are detachable from the bases, which is really handy when I want to put my doors back on. The bases can stay on the jeep and are relatively unnoticeable.Bad: The only complaint I have is that after a month of use, one of the ball joints on the driver side mirror became somewhat loose, which means that I have to reach out every once in a while and put it back into the correct position. Usually this happens when I hit a larger bump or pothole. A slight annoyance, but not enough to make me enjoy riding in my jeep any less.4 stars overall for great value at this price point.

I bought these thinking they couldn't be as bad as I'd expect. They are worse..1. They swing forward the moment your car hits the freeway, and if you ever get in a crash, even with modification and tightening, they will probably swing forward (which will look great in the insurance photos) and likely lose their angle of the mirror too. Door hinges likely won't have this issue2. One of my mirrors tightens reasonably ok (the right side). The other doesn't. They should have given a second screw that can be tightened via wrench to make it more effective. With restrictions here in Australia, I can't buy the parts I need to fix it.3. I have no idea why they bothered making these hinged at all instead of simply putting them at a fixed spot. The OEM mirrors aren't hinged, and there is no need for these to be. You can still angle the mirror regardless.4. If they drop in the city on a busy night, good luck trying to park with no mirrors.5. In some countries, these are likely a safety hazard (and may cause insurance claim issues). Get one that sits on hinges, and if you have a product like the Coredoor (like I do), get something like the highrock's instead.Anyone here who is claiming these work, has either gotten lucky, or modified them with additional parts. I plan to try to return these.

I bought this for my jeep TJ. The mounting bolts that ship with it are 5/16 x 1" which is the correct size but the thread count is wrong. They will not install without stripping the bolts or worse, the threads on the jeep. All of the bolts on the side are the same threads. 5/16" x 18 thread count. The bolts they shipped are 5/16 x 22. These will not work! I contacted them via the email provided on the card that shipped with the product but have not heard back from them. In the mean time, I went out and found some 5/16 x 1" x 18 bolts at the local auto parts store and they worked fine. They're not as good looking as the ones they shipped but they fit.So if you're not mechanically inclined or able to figure these things out on your own, you will not be able to install these on your TJ. Unless you read this and go buy your own bolts. That said, the mirrors work well enough. They seem fairly heavy duty and are plenty large enough to see with the door off. Like all other "doors off mirrors" that mount on the body of the jeep, you will not be able to see the passenger mirror with the passenger door on. This is no fault of the mirror. It's just the way the jeep doors are. If the mirror arm was long and high enough to see over the passenger door, then the door would hit it when it opens. But they're easy to remove and the brackets are not very obtrusive. So I just remove them when the doors are on and pop them on when the doors come off.

These mirrors were needed to be street legal with the doors removed. Installation was straightforward and the included instructions were adequate. I made sure to tighten the included mounting bolts enough so that the mount is very solid. These bolts are hex-head, not torx, even though the torx socket used to remove the factory bolts will seem to work. When I used the torx bit it started rounding out the bolt head towards the end when I was torquing the bolt down. With arthritis, I could not tighten the knob enough by hand so I used two crescent wrenches to get that tight enough. Also, I tightened the three Phillips-head screws where the mirror mounts to the arm.The end result, both mirrors have little to no vibration and have not moved out of position. I added a couple of blindspot mirrors I had laying around since neither mirror is convex. They help some but are not necessary. To me, I believe the mirrors perform as well as stock.UPDATE: Almost three years later and these still work great with little to no vibration. Not a perfect solution but I still think this product is a good value. The OEM bolts holding the hinge cover on my Jeep are long enough to securely hold the mirror mounts. The two bolts with the plastic knob have been replaced with standard bolts. This works much better and is not inconvenient since tools are required to install the mirrors anyway. I left the mount brackets on for a couple of seasons and the paint faded. A little sanding, paint, and patience and they look new again. The finish on the rest of the mirror assemblies looks fine.
