This review is for Lichamp HVAC R410A Manifold Gauge Set AC R134A, Freon R22 R32 410A 134A Diagnostic Manifold Gauge with Hose Kit Air Conditioner Refrigerant Recharge Kit.The gauge set was delivered on-time, complete and as described by the seller. This is a comprehensive kit with high and low pressure gauges, a manifold with valves and hoses to attach high/low/vacuum/charge sources, a detailed instruction manual and a set of accessories for all types of DIY use I can anticipate; all contained in a rugged plastic storage case. I purchased the set about a year ago when troubleshooting a refrigerant leak in a R-410A home A/C system. More recently, I have used the gauges and accessories for maintenance on HFC 134a vehicle A/C units. I am satisfied with the completeness and functionality of the Lichamp gauge kit.

Looks "nice" in the case with all the parts, but that is where it ends. Hoses kept loosening on the manifold even after tightening with the captive 'wrench'. Finish on the parts is rough (see pic). No valve suitable for R134a cans, and the hose for the charging port has no adapter to work to a 5/16". Since item was unusable, it was returned for refund. Waste of my time trying to get this product to do what it was supposed to do.

I purchased this kit to replace a 40 year old set of gauges I had. This is a nice quality looking kit. I can't attest to the accuracy since I have no way of calibrating the gauges. The gauge housing seems very sturdy and nicely machined. I like the five foot hoses as they make it easy to hang from the latch with the hood up and still reach the connections. I also like the plastic wing nuts that slip over the hose fittings and makes it easier to snug them down. The adapter set is complete. The only negative is the gauges are a bit small to read. These are standard sized gauges so I can't complain too much about that. My older eyes would appreciate slightly large dials for readability. It gets the job done at a reasonable price. I paid much more for a cheaper set of gauges 40 years ago.I do recommend these gauges.

Being a power-user because of my work and used to Yellow Jacket manifold gauges for some time, I decided to try this one for two reasons: 1. Handles many refrigerants types 2. Price…I can tell you this Lichamp equipment is very complete, easy to use and so far works very well…don’t hesitate to give this one a try and you’ll be surprised in a good way…Recommended!!!

Let me say off the start its a four star for the DIYer and with a bit of tweaking it can be a five. For the pro its a zero. Having retired from the HVACR before 410A and mini splits made the scene this is a handy unit for the DIYer. The gauges are capable of the higher 410a pressures and should be fine for most DIY applications especially 134a.The vacuum gauge has terrible resolution and not at all accurate. But you shouldn't be using this for vacuum anyway. I noticed the hoses tend to loosen back up if you twist them a bit so I bundled all 4 hoses and zip tied them right below the manifold. Also no way to mount/clip/store the hoses to the manifold. Just gotta let them dangle, not putting it back in the box, I just got the hoses to stay put.Problem solved. Next issue was the valve core depressor, well it seems it doesn't always depress the core just right. Just watch for that. My son was joking that the gloves would go with his class A's. Okay gloves should be worn when fiddling with refrigerants in all cases. It has the 134a adapters though I have not tried them yet. The 1/4 valve core depressors are ok and it would have been nice to have a 5/16 on in the kit. Having said that the valve core depressors only fit in the case in the depressed position. So back them out use them then run them in to store in the case. A little xacto knife action fixes this issue. Obviously designed for shipping and not how one would use it in the real world.DIY a 4Pro a 0: go get a FieldpieceSemi pro look at yellow jacket
