Our hoop blew over too many times in the wind and the rim was bent. Ordered this and it was the perfect replacement for the original. My 13 year old son enjoys doing things on his own and was able to install this with very little help from me

Had to use some of the old hardware, but it works great and breathed new life into our basketball hoop! Sturdy, looks good and fit with our old backboard. Great value.

The rim came packaged nice with no sign of damage. It feels very strong and that gives me the satisfaction that it will take the abuse it can get. The hardware is not the finest metal out there, but it will do job.Installation on my previous spot was easy.

I got this to replace a hoop that had gotten dented from multiple falls and tip overs. As a result the rim had become dented and oblong instead of round. This replaced the original model almost perfectly. The lower bolts that came with this however were too short and I had to get longer ones to install the rubber bushings so the ‘slam’ feature could operate correctly. The quality of the rim itself it top notch. Additionally the rim is made in the USA with ‘domestic and foreign’ materials. On the upside, the kids accuracy was inadvertently improved by having them shoot on a smaller opening before I changed this lol. Still giving this 5 stars even though I had to modify…

When my family bought a house in 2016 the sellers left a weighted-base style basketball hoop in the driveway.....It's a lifetime hoop and it looked like the hoop had fallen forward and been smashed into an oval at least once (you can see the damage in the screenshot). Thinking these were universal I got a Thunderbay replacement first which didn't work (returned)... Then searched for lifetime hoop and found the "Slam-It" line which looked like it would work.-There's a U bolt behind the board which was exactly like what came with the new hoop. So I didn't have to use that, just threaded the two retainer nuts on with the springs, then the nuts and on the bottom two holes were some rubber dampers to thread through to bolts on the back of the board.Tightened them down in maybe 10 minutes on a ladder with a ratchet set I think 13mm.....Added a glow in the dark net to the hoop ($7) and waited for my 12 yr old niece to get home.-It was a HIT! the hoop was a circle! she can practice her shot now on a hoop that's like the one they play on in middle school sports.-5/5 starts 10/10 stars.WAY cheaper than replacing the whole basketball setup or board + hoop even ($400+)This hoop breathed life into the hoop and it's EXACTLY what we needed.

Works well. Bought this to replace original hoop that was bent. The U-bolt it came with was a too long for my backboard frame, but the springs were the same length as the original setup. I used the shorter U-bolt from the original hoop, and that worked to install the new hoop with the new springs.

Good quality and solid hardware.Not likely to break. Larger than was expected though. Possibly bigger than an nba size rim.

This seems to be a great rim, made very well. I have an older backboard, and the hole layout is different, if the holes on the rim would've been slotted it would work great. I couldn't use the springs, i used my old bolts on an angle to install. But it does seem to be a great product
