I have a neice who has a snow globe collection. She absolutely loves this. It is very well made and more of a collection item than it is a toy. The music is also very lovely.

I buy snow globes every year for grandkids. I bought these this year. The clocks were a bit larger than expected but we're a big hit with grandkids. They light up bright, and they made great night lights.

This has some weight to it...It lights up and plays music...unable to tell how to set the timer for the music...doesn't matter. This takes 3 AA batteries..bought it for a granddaughter, now I want one for myself. Great music box snow globe.

I ordered this snow globe with the Cardinals. I give it credit for a unique design, which is very cute in theory but doesn't actually seem to work very well. First of all, I have other snow globes I that are made out of plastic/resin and designed to look like metal, and they accomplish that very well. They look and feel sturdy. The alarm clock case for this snow globe is really cute, but it looks and feels like plastic - cheap and not great quality. You can see the lines of the molding and it doesn't feel very sturdy, especially the thin plastic legs in the front. Next, I'm assuming because of the flat back, they have included a backdrop at the back of the globe. This overall design and shape means that the light at the top doesn't work very well to illuminate the entire display - some places are lit up too strongly, and others are completely in shadow. In addition, there is a huge air bubble right at the top in the front. I think this is a standard thing in a snow globe, but in a normal round globe you don't notice the bubble because it's at the middle of the top. In this snow globe, it is front and center, and pretty distracting. Also, when it is lit, the light shows through the red plastic casing and makes it even more obvious that it IS plastic. If you don't have the light on, however, the scene with the birds is very shadowed and difficult to see because of the backdrop. The music it plays is fine - a bit loud and a little tinny, but not horrible. The first tune is "Jingle Bells," and then it cycles through other Christmas carols. You can have lights and music, or just lights. It operates with 3 AA batteries, or includes a USB cord (no wall charger), and it comes with a timer that shuts it off automatically after 6 hours. And it is well-packaged in styrofoam inside a box. Overall, I like the design concept, but I don't think it was executed very well, and I'm a little disappointed in the overall quality.
