Strobe looks ok, and is affordable. Problem we are having is the first unit just didn't work. Not sure if it was 2 bad bulbs or if it was just flat defective from the get go. 2nd (replacement) unit arrived and the strobe bulb was broken in half. So my son still is unable to use it for a project he has for school. Thankfully I do have an Alien Bees strobe that we use as a primary, this one was purchased specifically as a secondary strobe for his class.2 out of 2 units ordered were defective. Returned 4 weeks ago and refund is still processing. Last time I purchase anything from this specific seller on Amazon. Support had requested I send it back, now I'm having to pay interest on a defective item purchase because of the obscene amount of time its taking for them to process the refund.Buyer beware, these units are extremely low quality and in my case 1st was defective and replacement unit also came in defective.**edited to update that refund still has not gone through a month after they received their defective product back. **

Fast shipping, used these lights for almost 3 hours of back to back photography, totaling almost 200 plus back to back pops of light in a 3 hour period. The lights only misfired twice which could’ve been due to them being near the dance floor which had other strobe lights that could’ve caused a misfire. They get a bit hot but no burns. I’d recommend not installing the modeling lamp that comes with it as this is what people have said caused problems for them in the other reviews I read before purchasing. I’d buy these and other stuff from this brand again.

The best Budget flash out there!It comes with its own sync cable which is great, however it doesn't have a continious light mode but it has a model light switch that does nothing

Nice and small and has a decent punch. However, the 1/2 stop variance on the lower settings is a bit much for me.Recycle time at full power was more like 2 seconds (rather than the 1.5 seconds rated by the merchant).Full power gives f5.6 and 0.7 stop at ten feet at 100 iso, but the beam angle is wider than most speedlights.The lack of a full recharge/recycle beep is disappointing.In addition, the red light on top indicates that the flash is fully recycled -- not the green light. Perhaps the colored lenses can be changed on the indicator lights, but I returned the strobe, before that possibility occurred to me.This strobe would be a decent value at around $35-$40.

Excelentes para sesiones sencillas y en espacio reducido. Durante mucho tiempo trabaje con luces de luz continua por lo que el brinco fue un gran avance. Recomiendo cambiar la bombilla incluida de luz de modelado (50w) por una de led (4 w) esto para evitar el sobrecalentamiento y al ser de silicón hay menos riesgo de que se caiga y se rompa ya que dicha bombilla queda por fuera. Lo malo es que no hay accesorios para este tipo de lámparas como softbox o aditamentos para filtros, Pues la carcasa es de plástico y no tiene una montura para poder adaptar.Siempre las uso con sombrillas y el resultado no desepciona pero hasta ahí.

I purchased this light when I started back into photography. I used to use the Alien Bee 400 and loved that light. But I didn't want to spend that much money on a light I would only use once a month. This light is great. It does the trick and gets the job done well. It is PLENTY bright even on the lowest setting. It is lightweight. Easy to take with you. My only real complaint is that there is no cover for the light bulb when you are transporting it and I am always afraid i am going to break the bulbs. Other than that, it is a great inexpensive light!

This light doesn't come with a cover or reflector and is slightly larger than the standard size. It's a great product for the money. I use this light in combination with other professional grade lights with no problems.

Not the top of the line but for the money why not. I use an umbrella and works without issue. The modeling light is on or off so no dim function. I keep it off due to heat. I have Alienbees and these are easier and lighter plus if they break, cheap to replace. Not the best build material but for the money, I am a fan.

Pros: I ordered this item saturday afternoon and it was delivered before 5pm the next day. That was like the "jimmy john" fast. Item was very well packaged. the item comes with a strobe light, power cord, wire sync cable, one bulb, and two extra fuses.IT WORKS well with the sync cable. I used this strobe light with canon 7d mkii. It works and it is bright enough even with a setting of 1/250, F8, and ISO of 200.Con: I only have one. When I opened the package, I noticed a strong smell of burnt wires. It scared me at first because I thought the package was already burnt even before I even get to use it. It turns out my fear was for nothing. The strobe light works fine. I haven't had any problem so far.
