AM249 Studio Light Kit is Sold by LINCOInc. The feature of AM249 is lightweight and easy to carry. Timing for using AM249 is as following:
When photo shooting or filming indoor, there would be some existing of light source, but however, due to lack of directional lighting here’s where AM249 kit comes in handy to help with direct light. AM249 can provide 3 point lighting effects, by using the high/low contrast setting can increase the three dimensional effect of your shooting subject.
For Portraiture photography, AM249 can provide partial exposure light effect, this effect also can be adjusted based on shooting subject (person) and the light kit distance. Shorter distance will provide smaller lighting area but brighter luminance. Inversely longer distance can provide larger lighting area but dimmer luminance.
For small subject or tabletop photography, AM249 can provide full lighting exposure.
LINCOInc using professional photographic light bulbs with color temperature of 5000k. Providing natural lighting exposure so that photo and film works would not be yellowish or blue tint effect.

For $49.99, I was expecting a very low-quality item. I just needed something for special occasion photo ops; maybe 3 - 4 times a year at family gatherings. But, wow, for the price ... you get quite a bit! I'm very happy with the purchase. The 3 bulbs that come with it are pretty dim (cool white). I replaced them with higher wattage / warm white bulbs. But, the umbrellas, stands, and carry bag are just amazing, for the price. With the short stand placed directly in front and facing upwards, and the two taller stands on the left and right of the photo-subject ... you will achieve a really nice balance of lighting with no shadows! Everything that's needed for that weekend warrior photographer!

This product assembles very easily and packs away for storage easily as well. I have used the equipment twice with great success. I do recommend it for others!

I bought this kit for basically the price of a few light stands. It’s not the best quality, but definitely useable, seems durable, and great for practice if you’re just starting out. Bulbs are regular daylight/cool-toned household 60w LEDs. I rarely use these lights, but when I do I use as fill light or for moody lighting in portraits. They’re just not that bright for key light use, imo. I use the umbrellas regularly on other key lights and they work fine. I prefer box diffusers over umbrellas, but again, the price here is about ¼ of what I’d spend on those boxes. The stands are adequate, but I wouldn’t use them for anything heavier than these lights, smallish reflectors/umbrellas, etc. Also, I’m glad they included a travel bag to keep everything tidy when stored.
