It was advertised as heating or cooling. There is no way to switch it from heat (the way it was sent) and cooling. Nothing in the instructions to tell you how to do it. Wiring diagram for heat and cooling was exactly the same....My guess is the wrong thermostat got put into the box, but if course I had already tossed all the packaging so I am stuck with a worthless thermostat.Won't buy this brand or from this supplier again.

this is a very nice switch since it offers CHOICE normally open or normally closed so it can be used for evaporation coolers or furnace, where others you need specific for each keeps my inventory down. the above photo is my topical install for window mounts I place in a framed box for the coolers. Since it is 120VAC it requires no transformer to thermostat. This particular units fits better in the common box with room for wires. Best one I have used. while 120VAC thermostats may not be exact temperature once YOUR perfect spot is selected it shuts off cooler at night when it is not needed.

It's to be used in an AV closet.

This looks solid, but it has unconventional wire connectors on the back that my electrician said were unsafe for electric baseboard heat. I had to return it.

Dead zone is 5 degrees. But works great other than that. Need a digital version, but that would require batteries or natural wire.

I rarely write reviews, but this one deserves it. I had a hard time finding a good line-voltage thermostat. After much research on Amazon, I selected this one as it had fewer reviews, but none were negative. I just installed it and it works perfectly to control air circulation in an a/v closet. Connected on the same line as the fan motor, so easy to install. Highly recommend!

Simple Sturdy and functions well. Good feel to dial when turning and a tight fit on wires
