The description above is totally misleading, these are not a Lineco Product. They are from and made by Talas a New York bookbinding company. I have the actual Lineco Heavy duty Awl same part number stated in listing, brand new, the handle is wrong there is no packaging from Lineco, the needle is not tight as the Lineco Awl, and they are not varnished.

Much thinner and more comfortable to work with than the tool I have been using. I needed a long, thin awl for paper crafting projects. This one is perfect because it doesn't make holes that are too wide.

The metal snapped off the wooden handle the first time I used it. My opinion: garbage; don't waste your time and money.
