I really enjoyed this book. It has to be one of the best books I’ve read in a long time! The characters were completely amazing and I adored them all. The way Mariana creates her characters with flaws and depth—even the side characters—while also adding real life kinds of moments makes her worlds so easy to get lost in for hours non-stop!This book especially is one of my favourites that had me laughing out loud so many times and even “awwing” as the characters relationship developed. And I loved that while it was a slow burn to get to Kat and Tristan realising there was way more than friendship between them, we still got a good portion of them actually navigating their relationship. It was a great balance of the build up to them getting together and then seeing them actually be together that makes this one of my favourite books ever.

Não sei porque demorei pra ler este livro. Sempre falavam muito de Kulti ; the wall of winnipeg and me ; de lukov, com amor.

After reading "The Wall of Winnipeg and Me" I knew I needed to read more by Mariana, when I've heard she also own Great Danes there was NO WAY I wasn't scheduling all of her books ASAP hehe. This was Mariana's first book and I gotta say I really enjoyed it! :) I'm usually not that into long romance novels (unless they are of the PNR genre) but the "slow burn" works SO WELL with Mariana's writing. This is a sort of "unlikely" romance story in which our sweet and in a way innocent young woman - Katherine Berger - falls for the porn star and he in turn falls madly with her as well. You would think it's going to be a kinky story but though there are jokes and sexual innuendos, this was a sweet story of a two strangers becoming best friends and little by little falling in love.I would rather say very little about the plot not to spoiler the beginning and everything it entails. What I WILL say, I really loved our boy Tristan King. He was THE sweetest. He offered Kat the only thing he could and was tormented even when he wasn't realizing it that he can't offer her more while in the business. I loved that we got only Kat's POV because it gave the story a mystery I really enjoyed though I DO wish we got a little bit more about Tristan and his past even if not from his POV. I felt a little bit about him was still somehow missing.Kat shares her life with her 3 best friends - Nikki, Zoey and Josh. I gotta say I was partial to some of their interactions. I didn't really like Nikki though I goes she knew how to be a good friend when she wanted to. I felt there is something unsolved between Kat and Zoey but I might be mistaken.. She was also a bit unclear to me at times. They were GREAT together and yet they WERE a little bit OTT which I didn't always have patience for.Kat and Tristan relationship buildup was a PLEASURE to read, through their own personal frustrations. There was something so easy about the two of them together. I liked that even after realizing what they both want, the relationship still progressed slowly, neither of them pushing where there actually wasn't a reason to push or press, it came quite naturally.Yep! Recommended, be prepared for a sweet and sugary romance filled with funny and witty banter. Not what you'd expect to be the outcome of a porn convention ;)Tags: Contemporary MF RomanceMore @ Ultra Meital Reviews.

“I liked what I knew about Tristan so far; he was funny and so hot my eyeballs ran the potential of sizzling just by looking at him.”Kat is dragged to a porn convention by her friend, Nicole. Whilst Nicole is fangirling over the porn star of her dreams, Kat is quietly observing and trying to remove a wedgie from her butt. A gorgeous stranger catches her in the act with a cheeky comment, which then kicks off a series of accidental meetings throughout the day between them. Kat is definitely attracted to Tristan and he seems to be giving off the same vibes. It is only right near the end of the day that Kat finds out who Tristan really is – Robby Lingus, porn star.“No one I’d ever met made me feel a fraction of what he did. No one. I doubted I’d ever met anyone who could even be half the man and friend he was to me.”When they meet two weeks later, it is the start of a beautiful friendship between them. Kat tries to put her crush for him aside because he’s already told her that he can’t have a relationship because his job makes it difficult.“I can’t stand this anymore. You’re all I think about.”The more time they spend together, the more confused Kat feels, especially as Tristan seems to want to spend every spare minute with her. Until one day, Tristan tells her that he’s quitting, and their dynamic changes.“I’d do this all over again a hundred times as long as I met you in the end.”This was a fab book! Kat and her three BFFs, Nicole, Zoey and Josh are an irreverent foursome, who have each other’s backs, come what may. I adored the friendship between Kat and Tristan.Told almost wholly from Kat’s POV, we obviously get to know her really well, but reading between the lines, we can definitely see the change Tristan goes through. This story was sweet, sexy, and very funny – I loved the banter and dialogue between all the characters. This is the third book I’ve read by this author, and she’s definitely become a go-to author for me.

I really enjoyed this friends to lovers romance between a teacher and a porngraphic actor. It was a sweet romance that was bulit on friends and had a very slow burn to the falling in love. The conflict in both the hero and the heroine were really even if the heroine was a bit clueless at times. The heroine and her friends are foul mouthed and crude but this aspect of them while feeling over the top appealed to me.I have to say this is a really sexy book and I haven't read a sexy book in a while. They make out, they have forplay without intercourse, and then they have great sex while still laughing with each other. Sexy. The dog is fun. I love the side romances. I would love to read those books. Here are the not so great parts. There are editing errors. Some of them are stunning. For example, mouse instead of mouth in a critical scene. Not good. A real mood killer. I am not a grammer fiend but for those that are you will pull your hair out.We don't get the hero's or heroine's backstory in any powerful way. It would be nice to have hers but we need his. Why did he go into this career? He doesn't need money, doesn't seem to have boundery problems due to sexual abuse, doesn't seem to have attuitues about sexual freedom. I honestly am not sure why he would go into the field and want to know.I read this is PvP (Pulled to Publish) Fan Fiction. Okay. I had to look PvP up. I still am not fully in control of what that means. When something has been completly transformed is it still Fan Fiction? So, I really liked this very sweet and hot romance with a foul mouth but the editing errors make me afraid to read another by the author but I am a brave reader and will likely overcome my terror. LOL.

Kat Berger isn’t a prude by any means — which is probably a good thing, since her best friends are more than a little wild. So when Nikki drags her along to a porn convention, she’s both embarrassed and intrigued, but then again, she’s already got the map memorized so she can get her favorite porn star’s autograph. What she didn’t count on was meeting a tall, gorgeous man who is so down to earth she can’t help but be interested. And she certainly didn’t count on later seeing him at his own booth, signing autographs for giggling, flirty fans of his adult movies. Just her luck that she’d meet a great guy whose job it is to sleep with random, surgically enhanced women. His request to be friends seems innocent and genuine enough, but it’s hard to separate the man she likes from the actor with a lifetime supply of condoms.Judging Covers: I absolutely love the cover, but that’s probably just because gigantic dogs are my favorite people. I have to wonder, though, if the cover is doing its job to attract the right audience. I mean, sure, the book is great, complete with romance and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, so a big silly dog (that we meet in the book) on the cover is great, but does it really grab readers looking for a sweet, humorous love story? The Verdict: I have to admit that I only picked this book up because it was cheap, and I knew it was popular back when it was Twilight fanfiction. In fact, I probably have a PDF copy of the old version around here somewhere, since I obsessively download pretty much everything that people say is good. But I did not expect to love this story as much as I did.Kat is hilarious and so damned real that you can’t help but relate to her. She says stupid things and has embarrassing moments and doesn’t have a perfect life or a lot of luck on the relationship front. And Tristan is too damned cute with his “wanna be my friend?” bit, quickly becoming a part of her life, complete with pizza, movies, and ridiculous conversations about everything. Her friends, Nikki and Zoey, are pretty standard for the fanfiction versions of Rosalie and Alice, but I loved them nonetheless. They were brazen and brash and clearly some of the best friends a girl can have. Even if Zoey/Alice is a porn star. But what really stood out was the growing friendship and eventual love story between Kat and Tristan.Contrary to what I thought when I first opened the book, it’s not all about sex. In fact, probably 90% of the book is about a fun friendship between Tristan and Kat, and even though she’s got a pretty big crush on him, Kat’s not crazy enough to truly get involved with a man who does porn for a living. She clearly loves him, and she does wish they could be more than friends, but his career is an insurmountable hurdle, and she doesn’t even know if he feels the same way about her. She loves their time together, and a comfortable, sweet friendship blooms, but like I imagine most women would, she’s depressed and sick at the thought of what he does when he heads off to work. It’s really a constant reminder of why they can’t be more.Of course, the story has a happy ending, and while Tristan’s stage name and essentially being in disguise for his role isn’t altogether realistic, it does allow an opening for a change, for a real relationship once he realizes what he really wants in life. I’m not sure men in porn are as upstanding as Tristan is, but it still made for a wonderful, funny book and a surprisingly great romance.
