If it works as is no sense in changing it. A-OK.

Awful! It broke on the very first spark plug that I used it on. It wasn't worth the trouble of driving somewhere to drop it off as a return. Lesson learned with this company.

It's easy to use and helped me gap the plugs for our motorcycles. It has a decent range of wire sizes, just make sure to get the right one for the ranges you need, since there are a couple of different ones with different ranges.

I know a lot of people swear by these, because they're more accurate than the ramp-style gauges I'm used to, but I can't use this at all because it doesn't have a wire on it with the gap I need. Am I missing something?

Great items, just need to remember not to pull the Wires (Gapper Wire's) out of the casing, as they can be difficult to put back in correctly. It can be done, just takes a few moments & then you have to think to make sure you don't do it again absentmindedly. Not a toy, serious Gapping Tool, is excellent for it s purpose

When I first got this gauge, I measured the wire width with a micrometer caliper just to make sure, and these are spot on. Way better than the ramp/disc gauges that you get at the auto shop for 99 cents. The wire gauge ensures you can measure a proper gap on both sides of the electrode -- ramp gauges often result in a crooked strap and/or damaged electrode. This gapper also has teeth that can be used to make safe and gentle adjustments to the strap without tapping or prying, which yields a smoother electrode and strap. It's worth it to spend the extra few bucks over a ramp gauge.

If you want to gap spark plugs this is the kind of gapper you need for modern spark plugs. It contains 6 wire gap sizes that are labeled for both imperial and metric systems (one system on each side). The sizes include:Imperial (in): .025, .030, .034, .035, .040 .045Metric (mm): .64, .76, .86, .89, 1.02, 1.14Unless mine was made wrong the sizes are for the wire on the opposite side of the circle, not the closest wire. So if you are reading the number its the wire facing you, not the one pointing away. It should be easy to find out which way it goes, since the bigger wires correspond, obviously, to bigger gap measurements. Seems to be built decently well and will get the job done. Has the tools on the side for adjusting gap.
