I live on a 500+ acre former farm. There are a lot of buildings here. Some of them are new, and some of them were build before the civil war. Most of the really old barns are long gone, but there is still the old homestead out there, a good distance from the house I live in. That's an old brownstone that was old long before my wife's grandparents bought the property in the 1940's. One of my cousins lives in that house, but the basement has long been a bit on the flooded side. I decided to use this thing to see if I could fix that.This thing is a tank. If you are used to how modern things are built, prepare to be surprised. This is not plastic. If you told me that it was an antique that was recently painted, I might believe you.I pumped out that entire basement with this. It smelled just wonderful. I have no idea what kind of junk was floating down in there, but this handled it all. It just kept going and going until we could get down there and actually get things sealed and stabilized properly.Thanks to this heavy little guy, that house should be good for another 150 years. It obviously needed more work than just the draining, but without this, none of it could have been done.

Here's a pump that's built to last.It's heavy duty (and it is quite heavy too).This pump has many of the same features you'd expect in cheaper models, but this one was not cheaply made.It's designed to run continuously, not kick on when the water shows up.Buy this pump if:You want one that can keep on running until YOU unplug itYou don't need one with a float switchYou don't want to have to replace it soon.

Unfortunately, I had an opportunity to finally use this this week.This is not the cheapest pump in the world, but it sure is worth it. It pumps a lot of water fast, way faster than any pump I have had before. No problems at all with any small solids, my basement was originally a mud floor, and when it floods, there's pieces of "stuff" in the water.The best compliment I can give something is to say, "I wish I had one of these a long time ago". This fits that bill.Highly recommend.

Lots of low areas around here for me to get de-watered, including some in foundations - and this pump is hard at work right now. I have no problem putting it in 3 feet of water in a huge area and letting it go for a day or more - it gets everything out. Love it! I do indeed recommend it. Powerful and fast.
