I marked 3 calves, regarding their breeding, before I was to take them to the sale barn in a couple of days. About 6 hours after I had marked them, it came a short, light rain. The markings were completely gone afterwards.

This are great for marking livestock. The mark will stay on for over a week depending on the weather. On rainy days it washes off after a couple of days.Kids may have fun painting their pets, too.

I used up a whole stick marking 4 dairy cows, it’s not the consistency of a normal marking crayon and it does not last very long on the animals.

Being able to mark different colors makes it easy to ID animals at a distance. In my case, we raise goats, and have about 70. I mark females red, males blue and wethered males green so I can take pictures and send to prospective customers and they can tell which is which just by the picture

I wish I could add pictures of my girls coloring the dogs goats and not so baby deer. It was fun watching them and the animals having fun together. The black dog and black goat was colored but it doesn't show up as well. I was hoping the colors would show upon the deer to keep it safe during the up coming season. I need another plan for that. These crayons do what they say they do. I just wish I could find something that stands out better.

If you get these for pigs keep in mind that they are not waterproof. They do come off after they get wet. If you have multiple pigs you may end up with some fun colors when they rub against each other
