I purchased one and it wouldn’t even open on the set code (000). I tried to reset it and it still didn’t open. So, I ordered a replacement thinking I just got a bad one, hoping that the second one I received would work. It maybe opened two times and then wouldn’t open again. The lock not working defeats the purpose of it when you can’t even write in the journal.

O love this journal. The leather is very soft. It is reusable onse you use the journal it comes with.

My 9 year old daughter loves this diary. We had a mishap when an older sibling tried to "help" open the diary and accidentally set the code (not knowing when she set it to.) Thankfully the diary comes with instructions to reset the code and we're fully functional now!

Very heavy duty and beautiful hardcover. The lock comes with easy instructions to set the code as well as how to reset if she forgets the code. I included multicolored gel pens, a pen and pencil holder to match the cover and inspirational stickers to encourage her to write. The colored ink doesn't bleed through the easy to write on pages either. Awesome journal for the price!

I love the look of this journal, it has almost a velvet finish on the cover. The reason for the low stars is the lock on the front makes it very uncomfortable to write on the back of each page, I can’t seem to figure out a way to make it level enough for my writing not to become messy and sloppy due to the obstruction. The lines on the pages are nicely spaced giving me the ability to write large, and there is a place to write the date at the top of each page. I wanted to love this product, but I find the obstruction of the lock makes it too uncomfortable to write for long periods of time.

This journal is really good for young girls who would normally lose the small key that comes with most locking diaries. Easy to code the lock and also has the ability to override if code is forgotten.
