I have been on a search for a 12" skillet grill pan for quite some time now. I have several regular vintage cast iron pans, and love, love them. Vintage is the way to go. I finally got frustrated not finding a vintage grill pan, so I broke down and purchased this lodge. Does not compare to a vintage pan! It is rough and much harder to clean. Way too expensive! Does not have the value that vintage pans have!! Disappointed!

This is my first time investing in a slightly pricier cast iron pan. I was in the market for a larger one than the affordable ones I use at home. I'm still on the fence as to whether the up charge was worth it or if I should have stuck to the affordable but awesome brand that was my go to. Upon first cook, I was impressed with the even heat distribution and the cooking area of the pan. The first thing I cooked was burgers and the flavor and char turned out great. Like most cast iron pans, there's some weight to it but this one is surprisingly lighter than my other sturdy pans. Now for some of the slights: I'm usually really good at getting my pots and pans very clean after use and it wasn't easy with this one. I hope over time this gets easier but I don't expect it to. I have no regrets purchasing this but might fall back on my old faithful cast iron when all is said and done.

Love the large size and shape of this pan. it is replacing a similar pan (my favorite) that I had for 20-some years. This pan blows the old one away and am now buying them as gifts. You get the grill without actually grilling.

This is a premium quality grill pan folks! I had an All Clad (my favorite brand of kitchen pans), but I wanted to have a cast iron piece so I did some research. Lodge is one of the better brands out there. Victoria is another. I wanted a square grill pan that was 12” not 11” or 10”. Lastly I wanted the grills to be deep if that makes sense. The one thing I didn’t like about my All Clad was that the grills were very shallow so the food cooked in the oils.Then I found this Black Lock cast iron grill pan. Twelve inches square with handles on each side was a bonus in my opinion!! I really found that I use that extra handle often so I’m so happy it’s there!! This pan is THE ONLY PAN I OWN that truly heats evenly, so no matter if I’m cooking steaks, burgers, chicken, grilling vegetables, or even pineapple steaks every one will come out cooking the same.I’ve never used a cast iron pan before and boy can it get HOT so I had a little learning curve, but not too much. Once the oil started smoking (just like with my other grill pan) she was ready to use!Cast iron is not a breeze to clean if you want to keep it seasoned properly, and grill pans aren’t the easiest pans to keep clean because of the grills. Lodge does offer a grill cleaner, but I have a stiff brush that gets into the crevices just fine. After the pan is clean and completely dry I will put a little oil on the entire cooking surface, put the pan back on the heat until I see the oil smoke and then take the pan off the heat to season the pan. Yes it’s not the easiest and quickest thing to do, but to keep your grill pan like new for years? That’s whatcha gotta do!I can’t overemphasize the quality of this pan. I took a level and this pan is ultra level! It’s heavy, but it’s also balanced. Plus it’s a LOT easier to carry with that side handle! It’s a pricey pan to be sure, but I was lucky and found it on sale so I grabbed it, and I’m so thankful I did! It’s a great pan!!!

Ho acquistato questa padella in ghisa da utilizzare su fuoco ad induzione. In una prima prova su fuoco a gas tutto ok, qualità innegabile ma appena utilizzata su fornello ad induzione si è spaccata al centro. Ho anche eseguito un riscaldamento a fuoco 1 prima di passare gradualmente a 5, ma ad un tratto una botta secca al centro. Il venditore si è dimostrato subito disponibile al reso, forse sono stato io sfortunato.

la bistecchiera che avevo scelto è arrivata prima del tempo indicato, quindi il venditore è stato più che puntuale nella consegna, l'imballaggio era integro. La bistecchiera è molto bella, anche visivamente si ha una prima impressione che abbiamo davanti qualcosa superiore a ciò che troviamo nel semplice negozio di cucina. La sera l'ho subito provata con due filetti di manzo e funghi alla griglia, tutto cotto perfettamente senza attacarsi e facilissima da pulire. Anche la manutenzione è semplicissima, come da indicazioni interne alla confezione.

It's Quality the Manufacturer said on in the Box that it was sent in it was ready to Use and Grill the pan wasn't prepared for Grilling It's ruined and Amazon Has informed me on my App that's it's passed the Date allowed to return I'm never happy with Amazon their Products
