I used this tool on a TH350C teardown, for which it worked as expected. Here are my tips: (1) always grease the threads on a tool like this (2) you don’t need to fully compress the spring cage to relieve tension on the snap ring, in fact it’s better not to; compress it just enough so that you can turn the snap ring with a long awl, which may be necessary to clock the snap ring so you can access it with your pliers (3) I use Knippex 45 degree pliers, although if you’ve made it this far, you’ve already removed two more difficult rings. Good luck with your rebuild.

Worst excuse for a tool I’ve ever seen! First use jammed at point that was supposed to spin freely causing metal shavings to drop into clutch piston. Unacceptable!!

Its not the best fit or the highest quality but works as it should. I would get another if it wears out or breaks.

Machined poorly making the fitment very hard to ease into the trans slots. It started to strip on itself with just the reverse spring cage on the 4l60e. Was fed up with the quality and returned it. Would not recommend buying. Didn’t even get the job done properly and delayed the rebuild process
