You can feel your arms get cooler as soon as you put these sleeves on!Great for sun and wind protection as well.

Recently switched to recumbent riding (saddle and neck issues) but found I was getting fried in the recumbent position - arms, legs and face. Decided to try these based on some online research and recommendations from fellow riders. The sleeves are easy to get on and off. They do an excellent job of sun blocking. Cooling - jury is still out. When it isn't terribly hot they are nice to wear - keep the sun off, arms stay nice and cool. Added bonus - in recumbent position I was finishing a 3 hour ride with a crust of salt on my elbows. The sleeves eliminated that. But on very hot and humid days I'm not sure they cool all that much. On very hot but not so humid days they cool a bit better but I have to remove them as soon as I stop for more than a traffic light change or I feel overheated. Still using them, especially on longer rides that exceed the 90 minute lifetime of most sport sunblock lotions. ( I actually find the better sunblock lotions to be effective for about 2-2.5 hours.)

They feel good during a ride and don't keep you much warmer at all, if anything while you descend it cools better than without sleeves. Comfortable and get the job done well for a good price, as I have come to expect with this brand. For longer rides (over 120 min) these definitely work better than sunscreen. If you ride in the summer and constantly exposed to the sun, these are nice to have.

Fantastic product. I was pretty skeptical. I rode a century on 7/16/16 giving these their first try. It's South West Missouri, hot and humid. Heat was in the mid 90's, humidity as well. I slipped these on as the temps started to rise around 9am. All that I need to do was drizzle an ounce or so of water on each arm every 30-45 minutes as soon as the cooling effect goes away, grab a water bottle and give a little drizzle. Not a problem on a supported ride with stops every 15 miles. I can't imagine how well they would work with lower humidity. They created an overall cooling effect to my whole system. I guess my arms are now radiators. The SPF factor was an added bonus as I didn't have to lather up with sunscreen during the ride.

As a Florida rider these arm coolers are a requirement for sun protection. They really do provide a cooling sensation. I need a couple more pairs...

This set of arm coolers fit as expected. They work to keep the sun off of my arms when cycling (SPF 50 without the mess!), and do a pretty good job of cooling my arms even in the extreme heat. I'm sure they would work even better if you were to wet them.
