Why Amazon keeps letting them sell this for an OMC Cobra is beyond me!These cheap cables are to short and a waste of time, Labor and money!!Stop selling these as a replacement for an OMC Cobra!!Do not buy

Do not like the faults advertisement about the cable says it’s for an OMC cobra boat motor But it’s clearly not when the threads are too short and you can’t use the alignment tool to align the cable up right you gotta guess at it yourself would’ve known it would never bought it

Like others have said it short make the outer cable 2 inches longer and the inner 2.5 inches longer I got it to work but barley on my 89 bayliner omc 5.8 l

Had to rethread the end of the cable as you can see in the pictures they were not even and

I tried to use it for a 1989 cobra only to find out that in spite of being advertised as the proper fit , it is too short and therefore useless. It is slightly less than 57 inches, which makes it about an inch too short.

So far cable works great I did have to do a little modification. The barrel on the cable was bigger than my old barrel so I had to put my old barrel on the new shift cable. We will see in a year from now how dependable reliable this cable is, customer service was awesome. Delivery was awesome. Price was awesome and I say thank you.

Even though it has the right past number, it is not the right cable length and a waste of time. Poor quality material too.

Cable is listed as right part number for 4.3 omc but is too short, cable length is 67 inches but is supposed to be 67.5 inches as specified for this part everywhere else
