Great sounding “wood” block. Very solidly made. What I would expect from LP. Also, it’s surprisingly light and easy to hold, even for young kids. Highly recommend.

In a latin band context, this is so much louder, easier, and more consistently clean than a traditional clave. Highly recommended

I was looking to replace a pair of LP clave sticks I'd lost, came across this.The product looked like a good idea: meant to be hand held, has a designated strike lip, has a resonance chamber.Turned out to be pure, unadulterated garbage!There was no body , no music, no "feel" to its sound -- not with the plastic striker LP provides, and mot w/ various wood strikers I tried. I would get more soul w/ a dumb ol' PVC pipe!LP should be ashamed of themselves for even having this garbage in its lineup, and I'm angry I spent thought, energy, and time in its acquisition!
