You MUST ASSEMBLE YOURSELF from a large number of individual small pieces.This is made from thin photo finish particle board. It cracks and breaks easily. I was tightening one of the screw holders and the screw holder broke all the way through the side of the file cabinet. I told my wife if we ever orders something like this again and we see that it is made from particleboard with the photo finish, don't even open the box, send it back immediately.

The file cabinet is made from laminated fiber board. The laminate chips and peels easily The main cabinet and the two drawers assembled easily. The problem started when I tried to put the drawers into the cabinet. After a couple of days of trying to install the drawers I figured out that the drawer rails were put on backwards at the factory. The ball bearings in the rails fall out very easily. The screws in the handles do not seem big enough to hold the handle on. It is not a good value for the money.

Exactly what I needed to fit under a built in desk. It was pretty easy to put together by a middle age woman. Instructions were clear and easy to understand. I love that it came with felt dots for the bottom so it won’t scratch the floor. It’s perfect for what I needed. It makes it so much easier to file papers and store the things for my little office/ciraft/ writing area. 10/10 recommend.

I bought 2 cabinets. Out of 4 drawers, one was sticky, one derailed under heavy load when extended, and one rail broke when I tried to close the file drawer. The wood is nice and it is easy to assemble, except putting in the drawers.

I needed a wood-themed file cabinet that fit under one side of my existing wood workstation -- it had to be two drawers only -- and this one fit the bill. It was easy to put together, and fit perfectly under the wood workstation, as if it were purpose-made for this location. The metal hardware is of good quality: the drawer handles, the drawer rails and sliders, the hanging folder rails, etc. The drawers open and close easily, and stay closed when shut. I will purchasing another one -- this exact one -- for the other side of the workstation. Highly recommended!

This is a very sturdy, relatively heavy, nice looking wood cabinet which is what I wanted. So many of the reviews complained about the metal two drawer cabinets as flimsy and could tip over when the drawers were pulled out. No problem with this cabinet. The drawers also extend fully out so getting files at the back of the drawer is easy. Be aware that the drawers are 16" deep rather than the typical 18". It took me a little less than two hours to assemble so that is a down side, but the instructions were pretty straight forward. I don't recommend using the tool provided. Use your own Phillips head screw driver as it is easier, faster, and not hard on your hands. There is no lock. I would buy this again.

This is a sturdy file cabinet and looks good in my home office. If you order it, be prepared to spend about an hour and a half assembling it. It's not that difficult, but you will need to pay close attention to pages 2-3 of the directions, when you're installing the drawer slides. Helpful hint: The brackets only go one way, and it's nearly impossible to get it wrong if you pay close attention to the illustration. Also, you must install the bracket sections individually to their boards by taking them completely apart using the black plastic lever. The pieces fit perfectly and other than the brackets it was a very simple, but slightly time-consuming, assembly. (It helps to have an electric drill or power screwdriver with a Phillips head bit!)
