Works as expected! I used this one my handbag when traveling through Barcelona, which is known to have pickpockets. I threaded the cable through the zippers in my bag to prevent it from being open.It was convenient for me. I just changed one of the numbers to be different from the combination, so it was not easily opened by a thief but was easy and quick for me to open, and it worked great!

These were super easy to use, just thread through the zipper pulls. Combination lock was easy to reset with the enclosed directions. Nice that TSA allows these, as they can unlock with their master key if needed. Seems like an easy way to have peace of mind that no one unauthorized is able to open your luggage.

This is a convenient small padlock. Its small flexible cable allows it to bend and loop around odd shaped things normal padlocks would not be able to lock up. You can easily feed the cable through the zipper on a backpack or suitcase. This is a very thin cable that could easily be cut, so I would use this padlock with the mindset that it’s only a deterrent. I would not use it to lock up valuables. It works great at the gym’s day use lockers where I only have a change of clothes, shower supplies, etc…Height - Cable length from the base of the lock to the tip is 4 3/8”. With folding the cable in half to lock it up, and considering the button to unlock, you have about 1 ½” height in the lock area (see picture with measuring tape).2 colors: It’s nice to have 2 different colors, so 2 different family members can have one and set them to different lock combinations and not have to worry about getting them mixed up.Change Combo lock - it is set to a default of 0-0-0. Following the directions, it is easy to change. You can change the code multiple times, you just need to remember how.1) Unlock/Open the lock2) Press in the reset button on the bottom. Press hard enough until you hear/feel the click. Any sharp object will work. I used a tine on the fork that was next to me.3) Set your new combination, then press the unlock button on top. When you do this you will hear another click, and the button on the bottom that you pressed in, will now be back flush with the lock base again (instead of depressed in). There are a variety of options for TSA Approved luggage locks in a variety of combinations and different prices. If you are looking for a more secure lock, I’d avoid these thin cable locks. If you need the flexibility of a cable lock, make sure that the height of what you need to lock it around can be accomplished in What would make this better:1) Having the unlock button on the side, rather than taking up space where the cable has to loop around something, and2) having the numbers stand out more. The black numbers on the shiny silver background provides a glare that makes it a little hard to read in certain lighting. Either larger numbers, higher contract like red numbers, or silver numbers on a black background would improve this product.I am happy with this lock as it meets my needs. At the current price of $7.23 for 2 locks, the pricing is comparable to similar products.

This product was sent to me at no cost through the Vine program, but I was not paid to do the review. I only review products that I use. I only leave good reviews for products that I find useful. These locks will work well for most types of luggage. The adaptable design is compatible with a variety of luggage types. They are TSA compliant, which may be important, depending on your needs. I'm sure the locks could be used for applications other than travel in which a small lock is needed. These are not high-security locks and could be forced open with tools. That is not their application. Tools could easily open luggage even if a high-security lock was used. This would not be appropriate for an application requiring a very strong, tamper proof lock. If you need an inexpensive lock that will work well with luggage, this would be a good choice.

Buying a pack of two (2) is cheaper then buying just one (1). It is a well designed and made, small and simple lock with only three (3) digit selectors and one (1) short cable. Both locks are well finished and look nice. The cable's metal ending 4-millimeter (mm) in diameter can easily be inserted into zipper puller's holes and back into lock's block. The steel cable, which is inserted into the ending, has only 2 mm in diameter and is covered with a polyethylene sleeve 3 mm in diameter. Such a cable is easy to cut with just small pliers even from a pocket mini tool set. But it is a sufficient protection against those without pliers, where security is not a priority, against pranks or just plain curiosity.

I always used combo locks on my carry on bags when traveling to make it less easier to get in. That being said, with getting older, my eyes can’t see the numbers especially in the dark plane cabin so it is hard for me to get in my bags. These locks offer larger and darker numbers which makes it easier to see and the numbers align on the spine of the lock and not the face like my old locks. Cable is sturdy and combo was easy to change. Will definitely change to using these locks instead.

This pair of locks feel solid and take a standard TSA007 key if you prefer to use the key, or if you forget the combination. TSA007 keys are available for a reasonable cost as a backup option. The instructions are clear and I was able to easily change the combination from its initial setting of 0-0-0. The reset button on the bottom, which is only used for resetting the combo, is small but I was able to push it in with the tip of a letter opener easily and update the combination in under a minute.Overall a good purchase and value.

These locks are heavy duty and have some weight to them. The instructions were easily to follow to create a code. The cable is thick and wrapped in plastic and very secure. The weather won’t cause any issues with this lock. It functions well for luggage and it is TSA approved with their key opening on the bottom. Would also work for gym lockers.
