The Super Duper was my go-to lure for trout before I learned fly fishing more than 30 years ago. Gold or nickel were the most effective. Trout seemed not to resist the flash, if the lure was stripped abruptly. If you use a spinning reel, it's the ideal lure to use.

I prefer the larger (heavier) size. It casts much farther! You can also tune it to work differently in the water. I found an old one someone lost on the bank and it was sort of bent a little off normal. And the way it moved in the water was totally different. It didn’t just swing or sway back and forth. It also would suddenly dart about 1 foot to one side or the other. So cool, and so looks like an escaping fish. First time out using it and I caught a PB bass! Then caught a PB pickerel!I’m hooked!

These lures or spoons are just what they say- SUPER DUPER.. Been using for trout since early 50,s/ also pan and white bass.They might seem small but are deadly. They have a unique way of movement at all retrieve speeds. They are a must try......They are all made about the same except length which is not all that different. So this review is for all the Super Duper style.... GO-AHEAD BUY ONE AND GIVE IT A TRY !!! Smoothbore00
