Yup, it's like a sturdier Reidel "O", having lost one this week was happy to buy 4 from this producer for the price of one Reidel. Sure the Reidel is nicer overall but not 4x...and I won't be so annoyed when these break.

This decanter is a lovely shape and has a great weight to it. It feels well-made, and decants nicely. It's also a nice piece to keep on a shelf or bar cart.I struggle with the right way to clean this item; the best idea I've had so far is a baby bottle brush. The angled top and narrow-ish neck makes the cleaning process a bit on the annoying side.

i've owned 4 decanters and this is by far the best, here's why..not oversized - decanter is close to the height of my wine glass which at first seemed small but it holds a full bottle and fills to just over the top of the punt, compared to the ones i've owned with large round bowls on the bottom this one is light and easy to handlepunt/base - thick and smooth, contours nicely to the hand for comfortable pouringgreat shape for 2 reasons - the decanters that have large broad disc shaped bases make pouring difficult because the wine gets trapped in the disc and you have to basically go vertical while pouring the empty the decanter, secondly the straight neck that leads to what is basically a 90 degree turn in the disc-type makes it extremely difficult to get a decanter brush in there and clean every surface...with this one you can push it straight down and hit every surface of the glass, the broad mouth also allows you to basically empty it in about 2 seconds which is nice for cleaning where as the disc kind you have to hold upside down and let the bubbles glug glug for like 30 seconds to empty itspout - the reviews say it chips easily and that it's super thin - I was expecting like lip of a wine glass thin which is not the case...the very edge of the lip is razor thin but the actual glass on the spout is quite thick which I'm not a fan of...picture if you laser cut through a wine bottle at a 45 degree angle...the very edge would be sharp glass but there would be a 1/2 inch thick flat glass part that's just kinda clunky and not sleek...also my decanter arrived with a deep scratch all around the pouring spout, doesn't impact the use of it and a guest probably wouldn't notice but as the owner who cleans it it's very obvious - this is probably the only complaint I have with the productoverall for a $25 decanter it's great and if I ever break it I'll probably be purchasing the same one again

What you see is what you get.The glass is a sturdy thickness. The edge is a bit on the sharp side but not sharp enough to cut you. The thumb indentation in the bottom is useful and well designed. It is very useful for decanting red wine.

After considering 6 other decanters I finally settled on this one, and it turned out to be perfect!While it is designed to be handled with care, it is not as fragile as I thought it would be from reading some of the reviews. It is a solid piece of glass. Definitely aerates and enhances the beaujolais, malbecs, cabernets poured from it!The only downside is that it is not easy to dry out and can leave water marks in the process.

Price is right and it looks great from the outside- but there's a serious design and/or manufacturing flaw with this product. The pouring edge of the decanter is beveled to an ultra-thin and razor sharp edge, making it extremely brittle - not to mention dangerous to handle. The edge literally broke in my hand the first time I washed the decanter. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this product.

Here's what I love about this decanter:- it's beautiful- it looks different than my other decanters- it fits in my wine tote so I can easily carry it, a couple of stems, and a few bottles in a single bag- it's inexpensiveHere's what I don't love:- in order to keep the costs down, the manufacturing process may be cutting a few corners, so the glass is slightly imperfect (pure conjecture, really, but this is my review!)I'd give it 4.5 stars, but I'm rounding up because I use it all the time.
