The clips are great, but the screws are made of very soft metal and they STRIP when you try to use them. USELESS!! Save yourself the aggravation, and buy the name brand only!

I compared the Trex brand of this type of clip to these and the Trex screws are significantly stronger. I had my drill set to 8 but still managed to twist a head off every once in a while. Trex I could leave the same drill/driver at 14. I finally gave up as I wasn’t able to get them tight enough and just began using normal 3” deck screws

i'm installing them outside under a roof so the screws probably wont corrode. If they were going into treated lumber or in a wet location I would return them. There are so many mislabeled hardware items claiming to be stainless when they are only partially stainless.
