Ball check in the head prevents dirt and grit from getting into the fitting. Heavier wall thickness for extra strength. Drive Fittings avoid Tapping Costs in Variety of Applications. Circumferential Serrated Shank provides a Grease Tight Seal when Installed. They also simplify the Replacement of Damaged Fittings in Old or Oversized Holes. Recommended only for Low to Medium Pressure Applications. Drive Fittings must be used where High Lubricant Back Pressures can be Developed. Holes Sizes and Shank Dimensions Must Be Used as Reference Only. To determine Optimum Hole Size, Test Applications should be conducted using the Type of Material into which the Fitting is to be Installed ex. Aluminum, Brass, Bronze, Cast Iron, Copper, Steel etc. Production Tolerances of Hole Size must be taken into Consideration when Test is Conducted. Excellent product, did the job,if your original grease fitting has broken,missing or will not accept grease and are press in "no Threads" and has a 3/16 hole these grease fittings will fit perfect,and you can use a small socket to drive them in,no need for a special tool to install them ,highly recommend.

This hardened bolt came with a press-in fitting but was very weak. Removed grease gun and nipple from Zerk fitting came off (broke) inside grease gun fitting. Bought these fittings & the tool to install them. They are MUCH sturdier than what the bolt came with. 5 Stars!!!!!

I used a 3/16 drill bit and the actual Lumax tool to install these fittings. Installation was easy and flawless. My ball joints were non-serviceable and adding these solved that problem. Built very well too!

It has worked just fine so far. If I were to add any suggestions to the company, it would be to include some type of cap so you could tap the fitting into the hole without damaging the little ball in the top.

Squirrely to tap in and fall off during greasing. At least there are a few in a package in case you lose one. I took a chance and tapped it harder and deeper. ;-)
