This thing is essential for starting seeds. I prefer using it without the baffles.Vary the pitch and the click pressure to adjust the seeding rate to the desired level, don't be scared about the reviews of people saying it doesn't work, there are also warnings on coffee saying that it is hot and can cause burns.Previous one lasted 30 years before vanishing.

Still have multiple seeds going at a time but easier than trying to get one small seed at a time in your fingers. Not a fan of thinning or it might have had a higher rating.

I did not find this to be able to dispense seeds individually the way that I had hoped. Tapping on the side was more effective than using the click wheel. I had the feeling that sanding down the height of the ridges that slow the seed dispersal may be worth trying as a modification.

Not really easy to use if you are trying to plant tiny seeds like mustards etc. the seeds hang up in the opening. I was down on my hands and knees planting a veggie bed and I was using this device. I needed a chop stick to move the seed into the dispensing end.

I got this for my father, and he really loved it. I don't know how well it works, but he did play with it a bit on Christmas, and it held together and did what he expected.
