Not Kapton but seems to be polyamide with a silicone adhesive. Very similar properties to Kapton, very heat resistant but not wholly flame-retardant.

I needed this to make a used hard drive work. I tried electrical tape first, which did not work, but this tape worked flawlessly the first time.

PERFECT!! Got this tape for my heat press for doing vinyl on hats. Works like a charm! Exactly what I needed. Keeps vinyl in place and doesn't cause residue.

Love this heat tape. Held my sublimation paper to the garment and didn't leave any type of residue. My advice would be to fold over the edge so you have a way to pull it off though :)
