This wall mount gun shelf rack hides the guns well. No one can tell the shelf opens up. The secret compartment is not obvious.

The shelf itself is beautiful, looks elegant when installed, is well-made, and put together well and sturdy. Installation would have been easier with a template. It is difficult to hold the self steady with the attached brackets, keep it level, and mark the bracket holes on the wall. The primary shortcomings have to do with the main features of the shelf opening and the storage compartment. There is a piston on the right side of the shelf but it does not lower slowly when you activate the latch, as the compartment slams when the latch is released. The other issue is the supplied pluck-out foam removable insert. It does not fit the entire shelf bottom and tends to move around so it requires a little adhesive to stay put. The foam is plenty thick but appears to only be one level so after you customize the shape for the item it sits very deep into the foam making it hard to retrieve and the item lays on the wood bottom of the self. If the self opened slowly and had a lower foam below the pluck-out foam it would be close to perfect.

I will start with the bad cause there is only one thing and that is the installation method. I am not a fan of the decorative brackets that come with it. I think it looks better as a floating shelf without the brackets. However, you have to get a little creative in order to mount it that way. I think they should have incorporated that into the shelf.However, I was able to mount it as a floating shelf and I like the look of it. It functions as advertised and make for a very convenient hiding space which you can use for more than just a gun. The foam that comes with it is pretty nice but it does not cover the entire surface to I guess that is another little negative I have for it but is really not a bid deal for me. Overall a really nice shelf/security box and for a better price than I have been able to find elsewhere too.

I have always wanted one of these, and this is awesome! The only downside is i feel like there is not enough foam it doesn’t fill the entire tray and I feel like it should. Other then that it is really nice.
