These install into the original Jetski housings with no modifications, and replace broken ones on newer skis that already have them. This is way safer than turning down your idle, and so cheap it makes sense to just do it. Jetski guys, this is the part you need to retrofit your classic ski to modern safety standards.

Switch itself was easy to install and seems to work just fine on my 1987 550... a direct replacement. Unfortunately, the wrist portion of the lanyard snapped after 2 uses. Extremely disappointing. If the seller contacts me and replaces the lanyard, I will provide an update and revise my rating.Update: Seller contacted me, after reading my review. Was very helpful and had no issues sending a replacement lanyard. Hopefully, this one doesn't break... unfortunately, I won't test it until next summer. Overall, I was very impressed with their response time and resolution.

Seems a little loose mounting BUTI've fallen off probably a dozen+ times and haven't had an issue! Well worth the price to have a safe legal ski.

The kill switch mechanism fit and works well. However the neoprene lanyard is cheaply made and tore in half the first time I rode with it.

Loved it easy install and jet ski doesn’t travel for a mile running. Wrist strap kinda wimpy but now itHooked to my life vest.

I bought this for my husband for Father’s Day and he loves it!! Gives him peace of mind that his jet ski won’t end up on the other side of the lake when somebody falls off. It works great and is easy to reset/reattach when you get back on. We are very pleased with this kill switch!
