Your cart is empty.Set Screws are commonly used to secure an object within or against another object, such as securing a pulley or gear to a shaft. These set screws are Headless Screws which are commonly called Blind Screws or Grub Screws. These headless screws comes with a Hex Socket in which a Hex Allen Wrench is inserted for tightening and loosening of the screw. Set screws are also used in applications where a flat surface is important, such as handles, grips, surfboard fins, and furniture or machine assembly.

Hose bib vacuum breakers probably aren't foremost on most people's minds. However, when they go bad and you have to change them, you know that it is holy hell getting the old one off. You can avoid the removal agony repeating itself over and over by installing this instead of the screw with the snap off head to hold the breaker to the bib threads. Using these, all you need to do to replace the breaker is use an allen key to remove the set screw and you are home free in replacing your vacuum breaker. It is really a head scratcher why they use break-off screws in the first place.

These 3x8mm grub screws are exactly as described, nicely finished and fit perfectly. The proper allen key is included along with a smiley face button! Nice touch!

A screw from my plunger (Shibuya DX, the screw to adjust the spring tension) randomly fell out, and after some googling to figure out what size I needed, I ended up ordering this. Fit perfectly as a replacement!

If you have a Sculpto, you know! The Sculpto grub screw strips easily and backs out. These were PERFECT at resolving slippage that caused filament to grind and destroy an entire print. I don't think I've had to remove the gear plate cover since I installed these (except for a filament mis-feed). Do yourself a favor and get the 1.5 HEX screw bit and stop fumbling around with the 1.5 allen wrench. ASIN: B0BGCJ7LVY (You're welcome.)
