Knowing nothing about good balls for softball games I got these and I am very happy with them. They hold up good and have nice thick stitching. 1 ball makes it through both double header games. Some we have played 6 games in the fall and I have only used 2 balls and they still are good to go. Mind you my girls are 10u, can’t say the same if they hold up for 12u and up.

I picked these after doing a little research. They definitely weren’t the most expensive but not the very cheapest either. We’ve used for several months and the balls have held up great. We’ve used primarily for pitching (so not a ton of abuse there) but have also used for batting and fielding. The weight is great and the covers are durable. We have the 11” for our younger player. I’ll definitely stay with these when we move up to 12”. Great product and great value.

I wanted some decent balls for practice and they really ended up being good balls. They even used the same balls at our state rec tournament. Not sure how they would hold up on some really really hard hitter. But for young girls can't beat for the price.

Had no issues with them. Wish I could have bought less, but they're cheaper by the dozen. Also, decent to have a lot of them and get more hits without pause when practicing with my kids.

just wanted some extra BP balls for the back yard. For 9 year olds i'm not worried they will take too much of a beating. Have held up well so far.

Great balls extra durable and definitely a steal for the price my daughter loves these compared to the mushy balls that she cant hear too much off her bat. ALL IN ALL A GREAT PURCHASE👍

Loved the price so thought we’d give them a shot. Haven’t used them yet so I’ll update when test on machine pitch, tees etc but see below for why I rated 3* (for now).Odd thing is I ordered 3 dozen (same order using 3 as quantity) and 1 of 3 dozen is different and has black markings, no ASA badging (labeled “little league”) but by feel, circumference, seams, and cover quality (odd dozen labeled synthetic but seems identical to leather ASA ball) they seem to be same ball. Boxes are same including same bar code. However, the black label balls came shipped separately from the two boxes of red labels. As for those saying the balls are hard.....well you don’t want a mush ball so I expect if these are really 47/375 balls they will be fine. Tested them against our tournament preferred decker shark ball and they don’t seem to have the same rebound to them as decker but don’t fall flat either. Decker are also $80 a dozen though, so for price and to use as bucket filling practice balls, these seem great so far.I’ll update when we send them through machines and off bats. If they hold up, despite the ball label mixup, I’ll give them 4-5* instead of 3 that I’ve given based on getting 1 dozen of them not as what’s in ad.Edited to update to 4 star. These are good quality practice balls and covers wear well through a machine.

I've been very happy with the performance of these softballs. They are cheaper than some of the other ones out there, but have held up well. I've not seen a single defect or dent through one season of travel softball.UPDATE: These ended up being my go to balls for 8U and two seasons of 10U. Very happy with the performance, you will not find a better ball for the money.

For the most part, I don’t review alot unless I find a real reason to either leave a positive or, negative review (and hopefully answer some questions I may have had before purchasing myself)... In either instance, it’s always with the intention of helping the next person(s) with their purchase of the same item... The following review is for the MacGregor 11” X100 softballs... *NOTE: I’ve given 5 stars however, I’ve not had these for any length of time, so I do not know about their durability*Anyway, I’ve coached, Dixie Youth, USSSA & ASA travelball/tournament ball, for a few years now (yes, a baseball guy before my youngest daughter found her passion for fastpitch, I then became a student of the game, and have been coaching with my wife, for some time now)... I don’t think I know everything about fastpitch, or believe I ever will but; I do know the market price for good leather covered balls... As many people who are involved with tournament, or year round league play, know; there never seems to be enough balls at practice, games, etc... So, when I found these; I had to at least take a look... I admit, I was a little uneasy about these balls, mainly because of the price ($43, for a dozen of leather balls is a good buy, anywhere in my opinion)... I only purchased two dozen and figured worst case, I’d have a couple dozen for the cages; at least for a little while... Well, they were delivered today... What I found definitely exceeded my expectation... They seem to be legit, good quality leather cover, and nice raised seams... Are they “Dream Seam”, quality?... To me, not quite, but I could definitely see these balls keeping pace with other leather covered, tournament sanctioned balls (I.E. Wilson, AD Star, Champro, Etc.)... Just marked them, and put them in a bucket... We’ll see how they hold up throughout this spring, summer and fall... I’m definitely impressed with the feel and quality of materials used to manufacture these balls... If they only last through this year, for the price; I’d purchase again... Hopefully this helps clarify anything that the listing doesn’t address...
