Material is a bit on the thinner side. Definetly fit a bit more on the snug side but decent for the price.

These are a great option for shorts when you have to be sizing "up" every few months due to growth spurts. They are not super high quality, but they are just right for the price. They will last the summer, for sure, and the sizing is pretty spot on. I have a 12 year old and he's a size 14-ish. We bought size 12/14. He's about 5ft tall and they come to his knees.
