This one worked great the other one I bought didn't work sept for the led the glowed when you walk in front of it. I'm still very happy I bought this one turns on my lights.

I mounted this on the wall close to one of the lights that it is supposed to control. The only problem I had was that when the light sensitivity was set to dark meaning the sensor would only work at night when the sensor picked up motion and turned the lights on, the light from the fixture would trick the sensor into thinking it wasn't night and would turn off and on for the whole time it was supposed to stay on. A little playing with the sensitivity and facing of the sensor fixed that problem, but because it was high up on the wall climbing up and down the ladder wasn't fun.

I used this to replace an outside, weatherproof light switch on my garage. The unit is not really designed for that though, and the documentation is minimal and in poor English. I ended up using a cover plate, drilled a hole to run the wires, but had to use a hacksaw on some nubs on the mounting plate so it would sit flush. And it didn't help that there was no neutral running through the box - had to run that from a piggy-backed box on inside garage wall. But when all done, it works perfectly, with good sensitivity and control over time on, etc.

My security lights are now backup and running and has better motion detection than the original. It is great product and I am satisfied.

Worked for a few weeks but exposure to rain caused it to start failing in unpredictable ways. Now it cycles quickly with no motion. No amount of fiddling with the two knobs on the bottom will keep it working for more than a few minutes correctly - it just gets wedged into a 20 seconds on/2 seconds off cycle.

I am very, very pleased with the Mageway. The sensitivity, Lux, and duration settings makes the unit fully adaptable to any scenario. It is easy to wire to an outdoor flood light fixture--and the price is fantastic.
