I'm in a wheelchair and use this to pick up stuff i drop it's amazing how well it grabs stuff and how much it will hold. It's got the strength and power to get the job done.

I really like how compactable the magnet is it fits well in my chest pocket, so I can carry it anywhere. It picks up shotgun shells with ease. I would buy it again if I needed another magnet.

3.5This is a fantastic concept but has its flaws: the magnets are strong, and the swivel head is nice, but the pole is short, flimsy, and fragile. The segments on my current one have broken, the collar inside that keeps them from pulling apart broke after several uses. The handle is very cheaply made. I've bought 3 of these so far. The first one I lost, the second one snapped, and now the third one is broken but still usable. I use these for smoke detector testing. Part of the problem is that the magnet is too strong for the handle causing it wear out. Also, a cap on it would be nice.

First the good news.The magnet is so strong that the screws I pick up ball up around the magnet in high numbers, yet it is so mall that it isn't bulky at all to me.The bad news.The handle leaves MUCH to be desired. At first the handle is very firm and not so easy to extend or retrieve... But after a week the internal hardware seems to fall apart and the handle will extend or collapse freely in its own without you wanting it to. I am an electrician so I used my electrical tape at the ends of each section that does this to keep it from becoming a huge issue but at this price range I was really surprised that the handle seemed so cheap and not much more than an after thought.I'd buy it again out of necessity but honestly I may just hunt down a handle on my own and affix the magnet to a different handle instead of buying a new one.

The surface is a little smaller than I would like, but I've already used it twice to find screws I dropped in tall grass, and I found the screws both times. Definitely works.

This tool is very good, I needed something to fish out tools I drop in to the belly pans of heavy equipment, and I'm stoked on this one, the telescoping action is perfect and tight,
