Solved the problem of the food floating away and getting sucked up in the filters before the fish could eat.

This is a great item. I like that it has a magnet so don't worry about it not sticking to the glass. I can even move it if I want and don't have to put hands in tank. My Bettas like it. They patiently wait by the circle while I feed the others then get their food in a nice, confined area. It's definitely worth a couple extra dollars. Very happy with it.

Good concept, very dangerous design. I have floating plants, so the ring makes feeding my betta much easier for him and me. The problem is that the cube that covers the magnet, and the stick that secures the ring, are incredibly sharp. I didn't realize this until my betta had a 1/4 inch cut on his side. Everything else in his tank is soft edged and he has sand for substrate so I'm 100% positive the magnet was the culprit, as he likes to swim between the stick and the glass. To sort of fix the problem, I rounded the end of the stick by melting the tip and reshaping it smooth. Then, flip the whole thing upside down so that the magnet is at the top, out of the water.

This is a great little invention! It is so simple to use and is small enough for my little aquarium, although I think it would work on large ones as well. I like that it is clear and my fish loves it. When he saw it, he went straight for it and keeps coming back to look at it again. It will be good to have a way to feed my betta without him having to rush all over the place to get a bite. I just put the flakes inside the tube circle and he can relax and enjoy his meal.

The enclosed pamphlet states that the magnets should always be stored with a spacer between them. There was no spacer and the magnets were stuck so tightly they would not budge. We had to use a vise to hold this tiny thing so we could get the two magnets apart. They should be shipped with a spacer.Outside of that, the device works great, the ring is free to stay level and rise and fall with the water level, but stay in position.

I really like this thing! I’m using it for my betta. I paired it with a small glass suction bowl to go under it to catch the food that sinks. My ONLY complaint is the ring is actually made out of air tube and it’s twisted or had a bend in the tube before it was put together because it has a spot where it dips down below the water level and allows food to escape. I’m going to try to roll the tube to fix it. Overall, I like it and I’m not complaining :)

Personally think it’s worth the price, we’ve had no problems with the magnet so far (have had it on for about a month), and Leonidas doesn’t seem to mind it at all. 100% preferred over the plastic suction cup feeders.

This ring helps keep the food from floating away before my betta fish, Tango can get to it. This has made feeding more precise and i dont have to waist food because he didnt get to it in time. I also have ember tetras and they would always get to the food before he could. Now I feed in the ring for Tango and outside the ring for the tetras. The ring is really nice. Unlike others that are blue or black and use a suction cup. This is clear and uses a very strong magnet. Which is much nicer aestetically and you don't have to worry about the suction cup losing suction. It is a little more expensive than the plastic ones but in my opinion it is worth the extra money.
