The perfect size for my needs. It's a sturdy plastic box with 4 very strong magnets on the bottom. Be careful, it will stick to anything metal it gets close to.

I recently picked up this under-car magnetic key holder, and it’s a convenient solution for keeping a spare key safe. I'll admit it. I was very surprised. I puts some mad money and a burner phone in it. It lived in the bed of my pickup truck under a tanneau cover. The surface was covered with a spray on liner and not at all smooth. The box stayed in place and blended in so well to the black surface that I had trouble seeing in. IT DID NOT BUDGE.

I think this box is mostly waterproof. My only concern for moisture getting in is through the holes for the screws that attach the four magnets to the back. They are very tight but in a humid area it could eventually be a slight problem.The box is solid and sturdy. The four latches will not be coming undone accidentally. The magnets do attach very securely. I don't think this box is coming off just from bouncing around on rough roads.There is already padding in the box. I tried putting a key and key fob in the box and it was still able to move around so I would need to add more padding.I like the box. It is going to do the job.

Looks to be very waterproof, but haven't tested it yet. There are 4 bolts drilled through the side, so that may be an ingress point. The magnets are strong, it should stick where you leave it. I wouldn't drive down the road with it probably, but it might be strong enough for that if you get a nice clean solid spot to stick it.This would be a good geocache box for a hidden geocache as well. This case came well packed with no scratches, cracks or markings. All 4 of the latches work really well and hold the case tightly closed.The foam inside is great, I'm going to be putting my borescope inside this case for protection in my service truck.The nice thing is the magnets are already installed on the back. They did a really good job, the only thing I may add is some loctite on the threads of the screws, but they actually used nuts and washers so as long as the screws stay put, this thing should hold up for a long time. They're also super strong neodynium magnets, as you can see holding a screwdriver and usb cable with ease. When all 4 magnets are flat on a surface, it's actually pretty tough to pull it off.I ended up adding some blue painters tape on the magnets so they won't scratch my vehicle paint, but I love this case.Super functional and economical, great value!
