I was interested in this product both as a quick reference guide and as a bit of "shop art" to my workshopIf your like me most of your quick reference chars are charts from the internet printed out on standard letter paper and laminated if your feeling fancy, I was drawn to this particular chart because unlike charts I usually have it has a splash of color. As far as the chart layout goes I have only 2 notes: 1.it would be nice if the length scale legend repeated for the production screws section. 2. It would be nice if the length scale lines were a bit bolder they are a bit hard to make out at a distance.As for the physical chart It has a nice strong magnate to hold it in place. However I did run into an issue with glare on the chart, the finish that was used really liked to have a defuse obstructive glare so I had to move it from the cabinet where I had wanted to place it to somewhere below eye level to reduce glare.Overall its an ok chart with some useability concerns but It does have a splash of color to break up the otherwise monotone color palette of a workshop.

While woodworking isn't my full time profession, I spend plenty of time volunteering with local community theatre groups to help build sets and props, in addition to other forms of woodworking I like to do outside of set building, so I like to think I'm pretty good at identifying the sizes of wood screws or being able to tell what size pilot hole needs to be drilled, but I can't say the same for the other volunteers helping build sets. While there are some general rules of thumb we try and pass along, we're finding charts like this are a great addition to the community workshop environment we work in. The types of screws, lengths, and sizes of screw shafts and related pilot hole sizes really is a great reference, for beginners to a quick double check of knowledge for those with a bit more experience. The light magnetic backing of the chart makes it fit and hold well onto the steel tool chest we have most of our drills, drivers, and drill bits stored on.The only downside is packing and shipping, when it arrived there was a visible crease. While it smoothed out for the most part on the front after a week on the tool chest, it would have been nice if it had shipped in a cardboard tube or flat on a cardboard backing to avoid damage in shipping, rather than how it shipped as just the magnetic print in a plastic bag.

This is great to have in the garage. We have a lot of things that break around the house and rather than tossing them, we fix them. That usually involves trying to figure out mystery screws. This helps in that. It would be really nice if it included bolts, but this is handy in itself.As you can see in the picture it has a wrinkle at the top. It isn’t that big a deal, but slightly annoying. I was going to drop a star off of it because of the wrinkle and the fact that I couldn’t get it to lay flat. After a couple of days, though, it is completely flat. I’m not going to drop a star for a small wrinkle.The length is easy to figure out on this. The gauge is a bit more difficult. I took. #6 3/4 inch screw out of the package and held it up to the chart. The 3/4 inch was spot on but it looked like it was 5 or 6 gauge. I’m not well versed in this stuff so it may be obvious to a professional, but it wasn’t for me. That being said, I’ve never had the gauge make that big of a difference in wood screws unless there was a large gap between the two (ie going from #6 to #3).

Magnetically sticks to the back of the lid of my toolbox no problem. No more having to eyeball what size pilot hole to drill. Listing out pilot hole size for soft material vs hard is great. The printing on it seems well done. I have a few of these magnetic info sheets for other things and often the corners of the printed part starts to lift off the magnetic backing. This one seems a bit more durable than most.

I like this product. I read a review that talks about how weak the magnet is, which is maybe a little out of context, sheet magnets like this tend to be fairly weak and are flexible so they don't stick like you'd expect a bar magnet to and certainly not like you'd expect a neodymium or even one of the ceramic or ferrite magnets. It absolutely sticks and functions like most any other sheet magnet of that type would (you can buy printable sheet magnets in packs of 10 - 50, I worked retail selling office products for years and can assure you this magnet works the same as every pack of printable sheet magnets I ever sold). Will this stick like most of the magnets you are used to using, no, will it remain on a metal surface without just falling off... absolutely. Does this perform as well as I expected, yes. Mostly this is a reference chart, and it needs to be easy to move without just falling off, this does that and is a very useful references chart for anyone doing woodworking who needs to size wood screws very easily.I recommend this product.

I find this very nice and helpful in identifying the size of screw and which drill bit or screwdriver size you would want to use with it. It is very easy to read and I like that it is magnetic making it easy to either keep on the toolbox or posted on the fridge for quick reference.

A good quick reference for when I'm in my workshop. Has a strong magnet and doesn't need much to stick and stay upright. Came with a slight crease during shipping, but once allowed to sit out and flat (put it on a large magnetic surface) it is hardly visible.
