I mixed hot liquids. This is very reliable, has a good grip and a magnet. it’s long enough for a large beaker.

Works ok for the smaller stir bars. I wish the magnet was a little stronger to pick up some of the larger stir bars.

Junk can get caught on the lip of the magnet, where it connects to the rod. However, it's a very simple device and it works. I just wish the magnet had a smooth angle leading onto the rod, so it wouldn't catch stuff on the lip.
