Description
This magnetic stirrer is ideal for stirring in scientific research, industry, agriculture, health and medicine, homebrew, etc. It comes with one magnetic stir bars (7mm × 25mm). The speed range is 0-3000 rpm. Maximum stirring volume: 3000 ml (0.8 gallons). Not suitable for highly viscous solutions. Glass beakers are not included.

Nothing much here. It does what its supposed to do. I use a 1000ml glass beaker. No issues. Would be nice to come with a few more rods but the price is cheap so no complaints. It can handle some thicker substances.

I was hesitant to buy this at first but this is worth every penny and more! I make a lot of fragrance sprays and perfumes and this has saved me not only time but also muscle energy.

Been using this for a few months, average continuous 48h each week. No issues, still working like new. Only thing i dislike is the included magnetic pill which sometimes stands up and spins on itself instead of agitating but it ca be easily replaced with other inexpensive types.Would buy again.

this one was brought by mistake, i was needing an Electromagnetic polishing drum and this small machine seemed similar and cheaperthe machine itself was good and worked well but it was not suitable for my original need

I guess I was lucky and it worked out of the box.I was going to build my own stir plate, but the price of these were equal to or less than I would have paid for a DIY plate.It threw the magnets when I tried to increase the speed with something more viscus than water. Something in the back of my mind that I perceived but being an idiot, I thought I was better at analysis. Fail on my part.I gave it four stars because the magnets are weak but it does spin. Also, the potentiometer (POT) that is on the unit isn't an exact science. I can forgive it because of the cost.I bought a selection of stir bars for ~ $8.00. They kept throwing to the edges of my flask. I have to admit that my fluid was a combination of fermented peppers and vinegar, so the viscosity was much more than plain H2O.So, I had to figure out how to keep the stir bars from flinging. I finally ordered some stir bars that have rare earth magnets in them. The results were terrific to me. No, I can't get a vortex with them but they do a great job of stirring at a higher speed though a thick liquid mass. I got the 1 1/2" ones, but the 1" would probably be a better choice and let me increase the speed. If you are looking into this unit, just remember that the magnets are not that strong. Maybe, I'll break mine down and see if I can replace the ceramic magnets with rare earth magnets. But for the time being, I'm satisfied. If you are just mixing something with ~ the same viscosity of H2O, there shouldn't be a problem.I hope this helps.
