Saw a review on these done by Enduro MTB. They kill all except for the other German brake set, that has a much heftier price tag. The stopping power on these beats others by a long shot. Also, you don’t loose lever distance when the pads wear down. What a great price compared to other brakes that don’t stand up to these.

De cuatro pistones el delantero de dos el trasero. Pensé que me la estaba jugando al comprarlos, mi bici trae de serie unos sram guide T de serie. Nada más lejos de la realidad, potencia, progresividad mejores que los sram además de fáciles de instalar.

I bought these for a single speed MTB build, and the first set I ordered had a leaking caliper, but I had no trouble with the 2nd pair ordered. I've put about 350 miles on them so far, and they have shown great stopping power even on steep technical trails with the stock pads, better than Sram Guides I've used for years. I love the modulation, brake point, and were pretty easy to install & cut the lines to fit, and adjust. The final tightening of the calipers was a little fiddly to avoid movement back and forth, but I eventually got it right. Definitely worth the cost, and just need to find replacement pads soon.

These brakes are amazing. I have them on my 150lb 17kw enduro ebike and they are more than sufficient in stopping power. These breaks are also nice because I did not have to cut the lines like you do on other Magura products. For anything under 200 dollars these brakes have to be the best by far. I prefer these to both Shimano ZEE brakes and Magura MT4 brakes but the MT5's have a slight edge but they are a bit more expensive.

Replaced the stock mechanical brakes on a Super73 ZX. Fit great with about 20-30 install time for the pair. The feel of hydraulic vs mechanical is a vast improvement. The bike feels much safer with more responsive brakes.

These are excellent breaks, the levers feel really nice and they have plenty of power with four piston in the front and two piston in the rear, probably one of the better brakes you can get it this price I think

Fitted these to my NS surge hardtail with new 180mm Storm HC discs front and rear, really strong braking performance with superb modulation, in fact i would say these are possibly the best feeling brakes i've used. The one finger lever is very comfortable and balance between front and rear feels perfect to me.I managed to shorten the rear hose without needing to rebleed but when shortening the front i knocked the lever so i would recommend grabbing a bleed kit, i got one from total bleed solutions, just in case. Bleeding was incredibly easy and was perfect first attempt. If you're not mechanically minded or you're ham fisted get a local bike shop to fit them, the instructions are clear but do need to be followed precisely to ensure a good result. A torque wrench is vital. All in all these are great performing brakes that look really good, i will definitely use Magura brakes again.

Very easy to install, align, trim hoses and bleed. The handle/reservoir is SUPER delicate- watch out when trimming and trying to get the anchor nut back it as it's very difficult to align and tighten. I was convinced mine was stripped until it finally went in. I'm nervous about the handles.Bleeding is super easy- just push some blood up out of the handle (and all over your bars:(. and you're good to go. Way easier than sram or Shimano.Be sure you have a torx bit set and a torque rachet as magura uses torx throughout and the resin reservoir clams would be very easy to snap. Magura provides extra olives and barbs, just make sure you find them in the box and don't lose them! The stopping power is great up front even with 160mm discs. Out back it's ok- feels about like a well-modulated single pull rim brake; it won't lock up my rear tire on pavement. All in all, esp for the price I'm super happy with them. I wouldn't use for downhill, but fantastic for trail riding.

These brakes are phenomenal. The new short lever is a big improvement over the older one used in the mt5 version, that's pretty much the same brakes except the rear brake is a dual piston instead of a 4 piston calliper.Very easy to feather these brakes with one finger and also pull to a complete stop still with Ken finger. I use this model on a mountain bike, and the mt5 model on a fast electric scooter. You won't be disappointed with this setup, plenty of power and very easy to control. Can't ask for anything more

This set is Great for its price point. I searched alot of set before settling with this one and I am very happy. I needed a good biting set of brakes, I am 220lbs and ride street trials on a budget built bike. They bite very well ( 4 piston front better than 2 piston rear ) levers are perfect design for one or two finger operation. Modulation is much better than i expected, great range of applied pressure vs " on or off". Lines are very long. recommend purchasing a bleed kit, mine arrived a little squishy but after bleed they are very solid and responsive. Bleeding is very simple and easy!

Great set of brakes. The mt5 can be found for about the same price if extra power is needed in the back. The trail has different lever blades than the mt5 & Mt4 so that's what sold me.The lever housing is made of plastic, haven't had any issues with them after crashes. The bleeding is a little bit different than say shimano. Pretty easy bleeding once you have a nice bleeding kit. Pads are stupid easy to change. No springs to loose, magura branded pads are bit expensive but they work nice over generic pads.
