Don't get those garbage generic ones that keep blowing out. I replaced the gasket 3 times before these all same issue. These ones hold up tho. These are worth the price. Great quality and hold up. All metal! Highly recommend

Works as intended. Picture of item in listing is inaccurate and shows the Ford emblem and part number. It may have in the past but no longer looks like this. Had my reservations that these were not real Mahle at first as they had different numbers etched in and were shipped in plastic bags with Amazon part numbers and not Mahle packing. Ordered a set of the same part numbers from RockAuto just to be sure. They came packaged in bags with Mahle cardstock/info sheets. The actual gaskets however look identical to what I received from Amazon. I kept the extra set as I have 2, 5.4 trucks and know ill need them in the future. Theyve been installed now for a month or so and are leak free (paired with new manifolds and studs).Would recommend. Would feel more conformable if they were packaged in origional Mahle packaging tho!

2001 F150 SuperCrew 5.4 with 275,000 miles.I paired these with a set of new Dorman Exaust manifolds. They fit perfectly.

I learned my lesson. Hopefully this will prevent others from making the same mistake I did - using aftermarket exhaust manifold gaskets on my Ford 5.4L Expedition engine. I replaced both right and left exhaust manifolds that had the typical exhaust leaks because of studs / nuts rusting and breaking. I used fiber based aftermarket gaskets and the right side blew out - IN LESS THAN 5 YEARS. My fingers are crossed for the left side, but it’s probably inevitable…These are the exact gaskets supplied to Ford and are currently made in the US. They are laminated metal and definitely will NOT blow out. I also recommend using Ford OEM (revised) copper plated studs and black oxide coated lock nuts available from resellers on Amazon (Ford issued TSB #0554 about this in March 2005). This will ensure that you will never revisit this repair again and it will last longer than the rest of the truck.
