I did a few hundred plugs in Birch with this. It stayed sharp, didn't wabble or walk and didn't plug up like others I've had.

Created perfect plugs with burnished sides for easy insertion. Exactly what was needed. I have other sizes from this company and they all perform flawlessly.

I love how well this tool works, cutting a tapered plug with a chamfered inside end. I ESPECIALLY love that this little guy is Made in USA! I will be buying the other sizes. Highly recommended!

I tried other brands of plug cutters, but on the first cut would burn its ways through rather than actually cutting. This cutter worked far better. I also love the design that rounds the end of the plug. It helped it fit in the holes that much better. Other plug cutters didn't do this. The price was a little steep for just one bit, but with how well it worked, I have no regrets getting this.

I put this in my drill press and cut a bunch of plugs. It makes a nice clean plugs in Hard Maple. Tip- draw a line on your board in the direction of the grain before you cut the plug it will help line up the grain when setting the plug. It can be difficult to see the grain after you cut the plug. It looks much nicer when the grain matches up.

No issues with quality or cut. Simple tool, sort of like doing a review on a hammer. Not much to say except it cuts plugs.
