This module works fine but here’s what you should know. I wanted to make a Bluetooth speaker that would reproduce the ring tone of a connected iPhone. Since I was unable to get it to do that I posted a question. Several users said it would do what I wanted but here’s what MakerHawk had to say:“Hello, Not supported. This module does not support incoming call reminders. Best regards”

These are the best DIY devices I've purchased in years. I've added BT internally to two speaker systems and the results were amazing. I've actually replaced my BT earphones, which no longer work, by putting one of these in my pocket with a small phone charger I got free from the local lottery guy. Works great!! The best thing is that it benefits from all the BT spec upgrades to BT5.0 - works with almost anything!

An affordable way to add Bluetooth to your project. Connects automatically once registered on your device.

I wanted something for my classroom audio system, to not fiddle with wires during class. Exactly what I needed for a perfect price. Now I have one at home and at school. The range isn't awesome, if my phone is in my pocket it will start to cut out. But from my laptop, it works great. Sound quality is good! Connects to my devices easily!

I was hoping for a data sheet listing specks and application notes, but this CCA does it easily and very well.Connects to just about any phone or other Bluetooth device and the sound quality is great.

Works well, sound is good. Connects to only one device at a time. Passive speaker sound is not that great (depends on the resistance range). Works with old mobile charger (5v). overall very nice.

Very nice product. Sound is great and links fast .The power on and link voice is cheezy. Beeps are better excepted. ( nice try though)If you dont connect to it right away some one else can connect to it.Its not a security risk but annoying and have to reboot it.IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE A BATTERY BUY A BMS FOR THE BATTERY. YOU WILLRUN INTO CHARGE ISSUES BECAUSE THIS DOES NOT HAVE A BMS BUILT IN!YES IT COULD CHARGE BUT SOME WILL HAVE ISSUES AND COULD SWELL YOUR PACK.THIS IS BATTERY BASICS!

i love things that say what the do and do what they say well. while i cannot attest to it's BT5.0 compatibility, i can say that added to my Denon amp the sound quality is great. i'll add to someone else's comment of, if you're using a phone device, crank the volume up to max and use the amp volume control. i've tried it with an android and an iphone w no clipping. if i get a bit, i'll measure the RMS voltage coming out but i'm fairly sure it's less than the 1.2/1.5v spec and definately less than the 2v/3v max (depends on your reference).i love the fact that it has both 1/8 audio with USB power AND separate solder tabs. seems to be a good quality board with no discernable noise or hiss even with input paused.my only complaint is that you can't change the name. i have two in close proximity and i have to turn one off to make the other one active. having a partial serial as part of the name might help but it could just be seen as clutter.either way i will be getting more to add to my 90 jeep and 92 miata vehicles as well as the back yard.highly recommended.

It does work, and it’s simple to install. The audio comes through clearly, however, there is a loss of bass that I just can’t get over. I installed this on an older docking speaker that was made for Apple 30pin devices. The speakers still sound great when I dock my iPod classic, or an ancient iPhone 5 that I’ve kept for treating music, so I know the issue lies with this board. It looks like I’ll have to spend some money and buy the Apple 30pin Bluetooth receiver.
