Needed a fence for a 2703 Saw I picked up and this has been working out nicely. I was pleasantly surprised at how solid the fence is and how well it locks into place. Takes some fiddling to get it precise but thats just kinda of the nature of this style fence with the type of table.

Just opened the new fence and thought I'd try it out. It wouldn't clamp. Come to find out, it was missing the "nut" and spring that attached to the threaded rod on the inside. Without these two pieces, there is no tension and the fence cannot be clamped to the saw. I was able to take this piece off of the old fence, but after paying $53, I shouldn't have to salvage parts a 20+yr old fence.To top it off, Amazon has Makita's 24-7 phone number listed as the preferred method to resolve matters. I call only to get voicemail.UPDATE: After trying Makita a second time, they told me that they don't deal directly with the customer and that'd I have to resolve my issue with Amazon. After doing so, a second fence was sent out. It went on correctly and I used it for 4-6 cuts, and it worked well. Cheaper than a new saw, but still BS.

Product got here two days early,was packaged in too big of a box . Thank God the adjustment nut didn't fall out of the box. had to put it back together but other than that it works GREAT!!!!! THANKS

I have an old makita 2703 model table saw and this fence fit and works like the original. Sent a few pieces through the saw and had no issues with the fence so far.

I purchased the actual table saw twenty years ago so I was very surprised to find the rip fence was still available. I frame new homes for a living so this saw and fence has stood the test of time.The new fence fits and operates perfectly, just as the original.

Better than original. The guage if metal is heavier than the original.Certainly worth keeping one of the best portable table saws I've owned in service. As a General Contractor, I have owned many and have several in service today.Plastic handle seems fragile, but we never broke the original so now we have a spare.Some equipment is disposable but not this saw. I had to replace the switch with a household toggle switch to keep this saw in service.It is better than new.
