I love my Makita track saw, don’t get me wrong! Track is where it’s at, amiright? If you ever wrestled a full sheet of 3/4” plywood across a tablesa—Anyway, sometimes I need to make a quick cut, or cuts, and don’t want to finesse my tracks into place. So, slap on the rip fence and, er…, let ‘er rip…Seriously, if you have a good edge, need a narrower piece cut, and don’t want to fuss with track, this fence is nice to have. Well made.Have fun!

The guide fits well in the saw case and easily attaches to the saw. That being said, I was somewhat disappointed when I took it out of the package. The mounting legs were not parallel to each other nor square with the guide face. I was able to place it in a soft jaw vice and manipulate it by hand until I was able to true it up… while I’m impressed with the Makita track saw and guide tracks, the rip fence needs some engineering improvements in order to measure up to my expectations.

I bought this for my Makita SP6000. It fits perfectly and it seems to works very well. I'm still learning how to use it with better results, so using it might need a bit practice.

It's genuine Makita OEM, does what it's supposed to and if you have this model plunge saw there is no alternative. Personally I think the price is steep but I needed a guide for a few jobs that were too small to consider using the rails for, in thatbsense this simple little metal device is perfect.
