I bought my first Makita product 16 years ago, and it has been Makita tools ever since then. Any power tool you can probably think of I most likely have from Makita and they have yet to disappoint me. Now I have used other brands before, so I am aware of what is out there plus, Makita is on the pricier side, so I've definitely considered other brands, but one thing I've noticed with Makita compared to other brands is the consistency and repetitive durability. This miter saw stand is an example of such. Very sturdy and easy to use this stand will make your job a whole lot easier.

Went together okay. Instructions could be a bit larger. Had to double up on reading glasses to magnify it. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ I have an older LS1013 And it’s nice to finally have a dedicated stand for it. I was a pain to keep using it on the floor when I didn’t have a table to put it on.The expansion/contraction mechanism needs some getting used to. Overall, I’m satisfied with my purchase. The support stands that slide out from the stand for larger work is really nice.Folded up with the saw, it’s a bit large, but it’s great not having to pick it up from the floor anymore.If the manual seems confusing, stare at it for a bit and it’ll make sense.If I had any complaints it would be that I wish it were a tad taller.

This stand is very weak, the extended arms broke after one small job. The set screws for keeping the height of the arms also don’t tighten enough to stop them from falling down with material on them.

This product was very easy to assemble - it fit my older 12" Makita double bevel miter saw no problem. Once assembled it is simple to expand and collapse, and also stows away without taking up to much room. I also like the fact that it has outriggers that support long boards level on uneven ground - (I cut 16' boards). I would recommend this saw stand if you plan on having something that's mobile or just in a shop. Nothing cheap about it!

The shipping box arrived all bunged up. The directions were very poor. One of the cheap, plastic knobs that secures one of the support legs in position was sheared off and not repairable. Consequently the support leg slides out whenever the stand is moved around—-only a matter of time before it gets damaged. I am unable to fold the stand into the closed position—-something somewhere on the stand isn’t working correctly and I refuse to try and figure out how to fix something that is fresh out of the (bunged up) box.As others have said, the quality of some of the Makita products sadly seems to be in decline. From here on out I’m no longer going to defer to Makita as my automatic go to brand. I have a shop full of their tools and I’ve been a loyal customer—it’s a drag to have to look elsewhere.Now, if I can ever get the blasted thing to fold up, I’m putting it back in its shipping box (which needs some repairs of its own) and sending it back to Amazon and reluctantly asking for a replacement.

I am a Carpenter in the trades for over 35 Years. I have always loved the durability combined with the relatively simple Design of Makita Tools. However, I just purchased the Brand New LS1016L and accompanying Stand WST05. This Saw works Beautifully!The Leg Stands however, are notably flimsy , 3 of the 4 Height Adjustment Stops "Stripped out" far too easily within 100 Hrs. of operation. These "Stops" are key to serve its function for cutting lumber unless they don't work, also the stand absolutely will not fold up properly and transport effectively because the "Legs" do not "Stow" properly which, can easily result in further damaging the "Legs" making the stand totally useless.Upon contacting Customer Service, they were unable or unwilling to acknowledge this obvious Design "Oversight" to put it mildly.One can imagine being on a job site, with 2-3 people running around using this saw and have the Stand "Fail".Sure we all make "field expedient" adjustments but, is this necessary when buying a Makita product? Do I buy a different Stand ( and yes I'll probably have to shell out the $300 for a Bosch T4B and hope My Great Makita Saw Fits on The much sturdier Bosch Stand).
