Great for tight area use it where my makita drill can’t get in to.

It is great for crape murder, but it is heavy.

This is one amazing saw. The plus side to it is it’s fast, strong and durable. Downside to the saw it is a bit heavy and have to have 2 18v batteries. I would buy another one in a heartbeat. I cut a mobile home frame into multiple pieces, of course used good blades too, I have chopped off metal on my utility trailer that had been there for years, just because.

The 36volt saw is surprisingly well-balanced, and feels no heavier to handle than the older single battery saw. Seeing the battery power remaining is a nice feature, This is one tool where the dual batteries are appreciated since it uses lots of power for my applications - big tree limbs.

Blows the brushless 18v out of the water and the 18v is more than plenty powerful. Cuts significantly faster than the corded 12amp. Couldn’t be more pleased with this product. Little bit heavier than the 18v but not much. Battery efficiency is on par with the rest of makita’s Power tools.

As other reviewers have noted, this is an excellent tool. For demolition work the elimination of a cord is a great convenience and improves safety too. I replaced a 20 year old corded Sawzall and have not regretted doing so. I have used this tool extensively since purchase about 6 months ago and it has held up to a great deal of use in demolition work.

Unit is in fact very powerful and runs for a very lengthy amount of time with 2 fully charged batteries. I recommend using a duel battery charger and 2 sets of batteries if you would like to replace an ac saw. With real world use and proper handling I was able to get 40min of usage with 2 5Ahr batteries. That is long enough to charge another set of batteries before this set discharges. Now there is one con and it is weight. This thing with 2 batteries is heavy as hell. You will need some strength to hold this thing and put the down force needed for the blade to do its job. Gravity will want it to go in the other direction. So be aware this thing will make you tired before you even manage to discharge a second set of batteries. This thing is an absolute beast and shines during demolition. Anything else and its usefulness is found lacking. If you need it to make quick cuts don't buy this.
