Welcome to Malo'o

It's Hawaiian for "dry" and pronounced "mah-loh-oh". We are located in Solana Beach, CA and we love the ocean, mountains, and the great outdoors. For most of the year, we are spoiled in Southern California with great weather. But, when it cools down, it’s time for the wetsuit. For years, we washed out our suits the old way and hung them on anything available. But we knew there had to be a better way! We tried everything out there and also a few home-made contraptions, but we still suffered with "damp wetsuits" like most every other surfer... until decided to do something about it. We knew there had to be a simpler and faster way to dry a wetsuit. We developed several prototypes until we hit one that was easy, fast, portable, and could be used inside or out. Now that we had a solution to the "damp wetsuit syndrome" we had to share it with everyone and Malo'o was born.

We also found that the Malo'o rack was great for drying our gear while snowboarding or camping. You can use the portable DryRack while you are at the beach, office, or on the road. You can even open it all the way open and use it at home. Designed to give you maximum versatility, the ultimate DryRack goes where you go. With padding on the handle and hinges to prevent scratching, you can hang it almost anywhere. The available suction cup combo offers even more versatility and is great for vehicles where the side mirror is low to the ground.

The Malo’o portable Fish & Game rack is the perfect accessory for your fishing and hunting trips. The rack hangs over the side mirror of most trucks, vans, and cars and provides a great staging area for your adventure. It includes a tray for bait, tools, hooks, along with 2 small clips and 2 large clips to hold poles vertically or horizontally.

No more falling poles! Use the clips to create a bench on top of the rack for set-up, and when doe rotate the clips to hold your poles vertically, so they don't fall over!

Our Story

How we got our start?

It all started after an early morning surf session when Phil headed off to the office. He forgot about the soaked wetsuit in the back of the SUV and when he returned at the end of the day, the smell was horrific, and the idea for the DryRack was born.

What makes our product unique?

We are a customer-driven company. After our inaugural product, The DryRack was successfully funded on Kickstarter, each of our additional products has been a result of customer input and collaboration. All of our products are designed to be used every day by outdoor adventurers.

A more light weight plastic than I expected. We will have to see how it hold up with winter wet suits and such. It may just become more of a Summertime towel hanger.

I probably am not going to use it on my car, but I needed an option instead of a flimsy drying rack that would eventually rust. I surf with my 2 kids in Nor Cal year round and we always have multiple wetsuits drying in the house. I hook this on a a towel rack we have in our laundry room and it lets me dry a suit away from the way and not hanging by it's shoulders. Love it. May try it on the car eventually but for now love it as a drying rack option in our laundry room.

Clutch way to dry stuff when you're on the road, especially if you're living out of your vehicle. I use it to help dry my wetsuit and towel after surfing. Best solution for me while living out of my Tacoma.

We drive a van and love to surf. This is great for hanging wetsuits and towels. It’s made really well and has a soft rubber along the hanger and bump stops. Very cool.
